Um...

That whole, "I don't want a relationship, but I wanna kiss you" part was a red flag to me...

I'm really optimistic, too.

And I've never gotten past 1st base (assuming that's the 'dating in general part'), and I'm in college and have had my heart broken twice, which may not make sense, but believe me, it can happen.

But...I don't know what to tell you. But keep being optimistic. It's about the only thing that'll keep you from doing something stupid.

'Kay...

Are you in high school? This really sounds high-school-ish, because in high school, people are immature.

All that stuff above about girls wanting stuff they can't have, etc? From all I've learned, it's really not that true--it's just a trait some girls have.

In college, people are so much more mature than high school. I don't quite get why, but I swear, you will piss yourself after your first semester of college when you realize just how mature people are...or...maybe I'm just really lucky and have a good college...Hard to say.

If you care about this Danni girl at all, DO NOT start dating other girls. Danielle is right. If you date other girls, she's gonna think you have no interest in her. And if you need to date other girls in order for her to be more attracted to you...I dunno, doesn't that sound a bit, ya know, odd? Materialistic?

If she really liked you, she'd like you whether you were dating a girl or not, and if she really and truly cared about you and wanted you to be happy, she wouldn't intrude on your relationships, either, unless she felt that you were being hurt in said relationship.

And...well, frankly, your entire approach, honestly, just strikes me as a bit lacking in thought. I'm trying to be rude, it's just...I used to have a best friend, and she did the stuff you seem to do with your relationships--bounding from one to the next, being caught inbetween multiple ones at the same time, etc...

And then there's this line that really disturbs me:
"We got on well, and had sex the first night we ever met."

You got on well, but you needed to have sex on the first night? Um...I dunno, maybe I'm the only one here, but doesn't that seem a but pretentious and overly-physical to you? Red flag to me. It would seem your hormones were the things getting on, not your personalities. But, hey, that's just the impression I get.

I can tell you right now, that most relationships that start fast and physical don't work out. Sometimes, once in a while, they do, but not most of the time.
Early sex can really screw up relationships. If you screw a girl the first time you meet, guess what she'll be thinking when you're away?
"I wonder if he's just going to screw a girl like he did to me?"
Aftter all, it doesn't seem too unlikely when it's what you do the first day you meet, now, is it?

From what I understand, sex isn't the same thing to girls and it is to guys. For guys, it's usually more physical, but for girls, it's often more emotional, so that can really mes stuff up.

But, basically, my advice is that you should start taking things slower and think a bit before jumping the gun. I'd say, honestly, don't date anyone unless you can firmly commit yourself to that one girl. I guarantee you, when you can completely commit yourself to ONE girl and be unshaken, that's a good sign that you're ready to enter a meaningful relationship.

I don't see the point in 'dating' a random stranger to make yourself feel less lonely. I'd feel MORE lonely if I was jumping from girl to girl, myself.

Anyway, good luck, at any rate.

Zero.

I'm almost 19, a freshman in college.

I've never held a girl's hand, hugged in a romantic manner, and certainly never kissed.

But that's not to say I haven't tried. Because believe me, I have.
I seem to know nothing about the 'rules' concerning pre-dating. I think maybe it's because somehow, I know how to be a good boyfriend--just have never gotten the chance. So I know the dating rules, but not the pre-dating ones.

I had two girls in high school I liked. Both of them turned out to not be who I thought they were, entirely, and that was because I tried to rush into a relationship too soon.

Well, no, that was the 2nd one. The 1st one was actually a best friend of mine who was simply, well, a slut when it came to dating.

There's one girl I like in college right now, but Lord knows how that one will work out. Everyone knows I like her--except her, I hope. I don't wanna rush this one, for sure. She's special.

Concerning Anya's mom...she sounds scary. She was mad at yuou because you weren't dating every guy in sight? That sounds a bit...loony. And un-parent-like, I guess. I mean, parents have a reputation of wanting their kids to do, ya know, responsible things. At least, that's what I thought.

But with 13 year-olds carrying around condoms, I begin to question parents these days.

Andres, I'm 6 years older than you, and I've never had a girlfriend--just two broken hearts. And I've got all my eggs in one basket yet again. I'm practically setting myself up for heartbreak.
So don't sweat. You've got plenty of time ahead of you. Kids these days are just being weird and rushing into dating too soon because it's, I dunno, culturally acceptable.
And we wonder why divorce rate is so high? It's because people don't get to really know, understand, and love each other before they rush into doing stupid things.

Well, honestly, it depends on the face. Seriously.

Some guys I have seen look great with, like, stubble everywhere, and others look good with a full beard, and others look bad with facial hair, period.

I'm still tryin' to figure out which I look best with. People keep telling me that my little goatee (only on the chin, anyway) looks good, but...

Well, they're all guys. And my mom. Not girls which I might try to court who could actually tell me what looks more attractive.

I think I'll shave everything off this weekend and see what people say. But I feel so weird with no facial hair.

Whoa, boy, do I know where you've been.

One of my best friends TOTALLY screwed me over. Bad. So bad that our friendship was in tatters. I tried to salvage what their was, but she didn't seem to care. And, so, eventually, I had to stop caring.

I know people told me this when I was in that situation, but it's so true. You have to just let it go.

You may hate her, but don't let that hate get to you. It might seem like you can't scrape the blackness from your burnt toast of a soul, but if you can concentrate on other things, it'll go away.

Part of me still hates the girl who screwed me over, but it really doesn't bother me at all. I hardly think about it.

Time itself doesn't cure all wounds, but if you can force yourself to get into other things and decide what's really important, it might help. A good rule of thumb: if you love her good side more than you hate her bad side, there's still something worth salvaging. That's a good rule for friendships, too. But if there's more hate than love, what are you expecting to get in the end?

I think smoking is disgusting. It makes people smell bad, (sexy!) it makes them hack and cough their lungs out, (which, of course, makes us all horny) and it's just nasty.

I'm a writer, so I wrote a poem for the girl I wrote.

Oh, wait, snap--I don't want her to know I like her just yet because we've only known each other since September...;

Well, hey. You could always spend TIME with her, eh?

To me, the greatest gift someone can give me is their time. If I had to choose between the girl I like giving me a rose or spending an hour of her busy day with me, I'd go with the hour every time. But I guess I'm not much of a materialist.

Well, I'm at it again. I have about...I dunno, prolly 6 fics partially done, but I figured I'd stick up my best one and see what happens.

I'll be honest and tell you that this fic isn't that great at first, but it does get better as it goes. Aftetr all, I started writing it 2 and a half years ago, and it's gone through that much time of me developing as a writer.

It's a Teen Titans fic with a unique twist. It starts shortly after Season 1 ends. I'll leave at that for now and answer other questions as they arise.

If this gets some steam, I'll probably start posting my other stories and see where those go.

I'll leave everything else for your own interpretation. Here's the prologue.

This story is not intended for younger audiences. As the story progresses, it will gain more of a mature nature, etc. Erm...Naughty language, violence, etc. I dunno.

Enjoy, and thanks for any feedback.

~*~*~*~*~*
The
Destinia
Saga...
Winds of Fate:
The X Factor

Prologue: Wind's Whispers

The city was deep and relaxed, in its prime time. The glowing rays of the sun had just fled from the navy skies, and small traces of them remained, stretching out their fingers to the residents of Jump City.

The day had been a calm and peaceful one, and for the Titans, that was good and plenty. Not a speck of villainy was to be spotted all day, despite their patrols. And so, they rested on a triangular rooftoop, starving to eat their long-awaited dinner.

The air was rather warm and inviting, the summer zephyrs pleasant to the touch. A nice, long breeze flew by, and a slightly tan-skinned girl with deep red hair smiled as she felt it pass over her. She had eyes that glowed with emotion, and had a dainty-looking form. She sat patiently, her arms folded in her lap neatly. She was being relatively quiet, abosorbing in the atmosphere.

However, she was quickly broken out of her evening dream as bitter voices began to puncture her thoughts.

"NO! Listen, man, I WILL NOT eat meat!!" came a kind of high and defensive tone.

"Come ON, B, just this once?!" a deep, smooth voice spoke back.

The owner of the first voice was standing up, his hands on the table, his face beginning to fume a bit. He was a little unique in comparison to other people, as he was quite green. His eyes were very expressive and wild. He was Beastboy, a marvel with the power to transform into creatures at will. This was very flexible in combat situations.

"No is NO, Cyborg! You KNOW there's no point, so give it up, man!" he grumbled to the broad person who sat to his left on the circular, red table.

In physical appearence, this large man was a machine, but at heart, he was human. Composed of metal, plastic, wires, ciruitry, skin, and flesh, he was an odd sight, but a formidible foe, for sure. He had a spirit as tough as the titanium that plated his head. And his eyes...One was a glowing red light, the other a sharp human one. Any flesh that was shown on him was of a brown color. He was Cyborg.

"Oh, PLEASE! Every damn time we order pizza, I never get my meat! I need my protein! Why do you keep denying me the 'All Meat Experience'?! Come on, I'll pay for my own, just lemme me eat some red stuff, for Superman's sake!"

He was getting a little worked up, and it showed as one of his super-strength arms pounded into the table, shaking it a little more than was neccessary. His face got nervous immediately, and he scanned around in shock, hoping he hadn't drawn too much attention.

A calm and relaxed tone came from Cyborb's left, and it's owner had an exhausted look about him.

"Guys...Can't we just order? It's really not that hard a task..." He let out a deep sigh and slumped over in his seat, resting his head in his arms, which were folded across the plastic table.

The red-haired girl cleared her throat and proposed timidly, "I am eager to experiment upon our pizza with some mint frosting..."

Beastboy and Cyborg, who had just began to bicker a bit more stared at her dully, and BB muttered, as if this was routine, "Star...Mint frosting ISN'T a topping on pizza...Remember...?"

Starfire, an alien being with supernatural powers, let out a disappointed sigh and murmured politely, "I understand your view, Beastboy, but I do not understand at the same time...Is there a law somewhere that states that mint frosting is not permitted to be placed on pizza...?"

Beastboy gave her the most puzzled look any of them had shown all day, and he couldn't come up with an answer.

"Uh..." He blinked a few times in confusion, and the leader of their little band came in to settle the matter. His eyes were cloaked by a black mask of sorts, which only covered those eyes, so they appeared as white spaces on his face. He had messy, spiky black hair, and a tight outfit of red and green, with a yellow belt and cape to finish it off. He was Robin, the leader of the Titans.

"OK, listen...Starfire...MOST people don't eat...minty...stuff...on their pizza...Then again, most people don't drink MUSTARD..." he paused a moment to reflect. "Ya know what, Star? You're not normal. Psh," he chuckled warmly, "NONE of us are normal, let's face it!"

A few laughes came out from the bunch, except one. She had remained still and silent for the past while, not even moving. She sat in her seat, her eyes closed, her hands stretched out in a meditative pose. She had dark and depressing eyes and shining, silvry purple hair which ran down to her shoulders. Those eyes were almost expressionless at the time, which was what she was trying to acheive. She was Raven, by far the most mysterious of the group.

Out of nowhere, it seemed, she suddenly burst out a comment. It was monotone and dim, but a comment, nonetheless. Her voice also had a slight bit of raspyness to it. Just barely.

"...Why don't we just order and get out of here...?"

Starfire let out a sigh and answered, "I apologize for the inconvenience, friends. I was merely making a suggestion."

"No, no, no, wait," Robin spat out, waving his arms around. "Ya know what, guys? How long has it been since STARFIRE got to choose the pizza?"

There was utter silence as the others stared in dismay, almost knowing what was about to happen.

"We're supposed to be a team, and teams are fair, right?"

...

Robin cleared his throat, uncomfortable from the lack of communication. Starfire, meanwhile, was staring at him expectantly.

"Right...So, I say we let Star pick tonight." He coughed out a bit as he finished by saying, "Mint frosting it is..."

There were no objections, at least not any verbal ones, and the long-haired girl was delighted.

"Oh, Robin, I thank you dearly! Thank you, friends, for joining me in my curiosity!"

"No prob," Cyborg murmured dully.

"You bet," Beastboy muttered, his eyes wandering.

"Mm hm," Raven hummed, as plain as ever.

Robin sucked in a deep breath, laid back in his seat and mumbled, "See? Now, was that so hard...?"

----------

A set of shining, solid teeth sliced apart the odd food viciously, and the tongue that rested within the mouth seemed pleased. His partially mechanic arm reached out for another piece of this strange delight, his mouth watering for more.

"Man!" he cried, shaking his head in astonishment. "This is pretty GOOD!"

"Really," Beastboy agreed, his voice muffled from the sea-green plastered pizza in his jaws.

Raven's narrow eyes were glaring at the unique food in dismay, and she seemed to be pondering whether or not it was worth the effort to try. If she didn't act quickly, she wouldn't have the chance to find out.

"Not hungry, Raven?" Robin muttered, noticing her statue state.

She didn't reply, nor did she acknowledge his existence--Robin was used to that, and let her continue.

Starfire's gleeful eyes sparkled with happiness as she let her jaws dive into her third slice of 'Pizza a la Mint'.

"Whoa, Star," Beastboy chuckled, having just completed his first piece. "Don't wanna choke on that..."

Starfire began to attempt to speak, but realized that her mouth was full--a rude gesture, if her memories regarding American Culture were correct. It was hard, trying to remember all of their odd customs. Starfire had an excellent memory, though, and was motivated just by the chance to learn something new.

After having gulped the food hastily, she let out a few coughs, her hands slapping her face to stop any material from flying around.

Beastboy almost jumped out of his seat, but before anyone got worried, Starfire cleared her throat and murmured, "Sorry," her face beet red.

With a nervous laugh, BB sat back down, sighing of relief.

"See?" he muttered, shaking his head. "I'll admit, though, Star, this is wicked stuff..."

The green monster rubbed his gloved hands together and grabbed his second slice eagerly, while Cyborg was working on his third, not bothering to pay any heed to those around him.

Raven finally decided to wait until they got home to eat, and began to meditate once again. (It's pointless,) she told herself, angry that she had put any amount of thought into the matter.

Starfire stared at the creation before her in thought, then her eyes lit up. She raised up her hand and waved it a bit, trying to catch some attention from the people wandering around the tables in uniform.

"May I request the presence of a 'waiter'?" she asked loudly, excited.

One responded, and came rushing over to their round, red eating surface.

He was a caucasion, and a medium build. About eighteen, from the looks of it. His legs were strong and firm, and his arms were almost equally so. His smile was inviting, and he adorned a white sweatshirt and slightly baggy blue jeans. White rubber gloves were on his hands, serving to add to his uniform. A black baseball cap with the words, 'Pie in the Sky' printed in crimson red on its surface rested on his mess of light brown hair. The same logo was also on his white shirt. He almost had sideburns, and slight traces of black hairs were visible under his nose, which was a little bigger than one would expect. He spoke out to them in a casual tone.

"What can I do for ya, Miss?"

Starfire blushed at him, feeling slightly odd inside at first, but she dismissed the feeling as best she could and made her request.

"Dear serviceman, may you deliver a bottle of...--" She had to think a minute to remember the word for it. "--mustard...please?"

The teen worker paused, quickly surveyed the food upon the table in perplexment, but shrugged and nodded.

"Uh...Sure, Miss...Comin' right up. Just gimme a sec, okey dokey?"

Starfire nodded, smiling at the waiter warmly. "Many thanks, Sir..." she murmured, trying to pry her eyes away from his own. There was something about them...They glimmered with mystery and spirit, almost like the stars themselves. When Starfire stared into them, she felt a surge of emotion flood into her. It was strange to her, indeed. The other Titans didn't seem to notice all too much--they were too busy scarfing down mint pizza.

Starfire watched the young man walk off toward the counter near the roof's edge, and she noticed that in his big back pocket there was nestled another hat. It was a bright red one.

She then realized in dismay that the pizza was almost gone, and reached out to snatch one more for herself, placing it on her plate gingerly.

"Who's that guy?" Robin muttered, staring at the waiter curiously. "Haven't seen him around..."

Starfire paused, unsure herself.

"Must be new here," Beastboy suggested with a shrug, a piece of baked dough covered in green cream in his grip.

"Yea," Robin mumbled with a shrug. They came to this place frequently, and new faces didn't appear all too often.

Starfire waited patiently, not even looking at her pizza. Her eyes were up in the air as she pondered who this person was. For some reason, he struck her as a very unqiue person. Different from everyone else there. It was quite puzzling to her...

Her thoughts were popped like a bubble when a yellow tube with a sharp, pointed top was placed before her, and that odd man gave her a grin.

"There ya go!" he declared. "Have a nice night, guys..."

"Will do," BB cried as the figure began to walk away, leaving Starfire feeling a bit shaken by his sudden presence.

Beastboy's eyes glanced over at Starfire, who, no pun intended, looked starstruck. He let out a chuckle and poked out playfully at his red-headed friend.

"My, he was nice," he noted slyly, probing at his friend with words.

Starfire's shimmering eyes met his for a moment. They were narrow and sly, as he raised his brows up and down in a joking manner.

"Um..." She did not quite know how to take this gesture, and decided to pass it off.

Raven was too busy muttering to herself in deep thought, Cyborg was too busy engulfing mint pizza with his jaws, and Robin was too deeply lost in the atmosphere of the evening, so none of them noticed Starfire gleefully squeezing mustard onto her already...unique pizza.

Beastboy stared at her like she was insane, realized she was STARFIRE, and proceeded to eat his own pizza without a second thought.

Starfire scrambled to get a sufficient amount of the yellow stuff on her food, and she lifted it to her lips and opened the 'hatch doors.' However, just before it arrived on her tongue, a sound shattered their dinner.

It was a scream. A female one, coming from about a hundred yards in front of her, and about ten stories down. The pizza slipped out of her hands and plopped on her plate in surprise. Why now, of all times?

Robin jumped like a bolt of lightning and cried out, "Titimphs...Moof!!" There was still some pizza left over in his mouth.

One by one, they all snapped into action, bounding away to fight the crime that dared to intrude on their evening. Starfire lagged behind by a second or two as she swallowed her piece in two bites and soared off like a bird.

The teen who had served them a minute ago spun around in alarm, sensing that someone was in danger. For some reason, their voice seemed familiar. His eyes shimmered with seriousness, and he reached up his arm to remove the brand-name cap from his head.

It slapped against the cement floor gentley, and the boy tore the white gloves from his hands, letting them land softly next to the hat. He ripped off his white sweatshirt to reveal a crimsom red tee shirt. Now that the white shirt was gone, you could see that his blue denim jeans were in reality overalls, and two straps loosely hung over his shoulders, golden, shining buttons holding them in place.

He began to pound his black-sneakered feet against the stone beneath him, and he reached out into his huge back pocket to pull out that bright red hat. He shook it a bit, trying to unfold it, and he placed it on his head roughly, fastening it a little as he reached the building's edge.

His cap was completely red with a slightly darker brim, except for a spot on his forehead--a white semi-circle rested there, and printed in this space was a big, almost glowing red 'M'.

"Time to get down to business," he muttered to himself as he tossed his body off the building nimbly, soaring down to the chaotic streets below.

Oh, that is cruel. I was expecting just the current-gen ones, in which case, I'd say GCN or DS...though PS2 is up there with the good titles it had this past year.

But SNES has me, baby. I love my 8-bit, I do, but the SNES was my time. About half of my fondest gaming memories all lie with that single system. It was amazing, it was.

Some would argue that the Genesis had better graphics, but did you play Starfox on that? How about Yoshi's Island?

Mario All-Stars
Yoshi's Island
Mario World
Megaman X
Mario RPG

A lot of my most favorite games were on that sucker.
I still have it, though I don't touch it...I usually just play ZSNES when the need arises, but that's more out of convenience.

I am REALLY wondering how this game will turn out. Nintendo knows how much is riding on it--it has to be good, because it's what will be selling Rev.'s at launch, but even if it's released in November, it will still have only been in production for about a year, maybe a year and a half (from what I understand). That worried me, but they ARE using Melee as a base to build on.

I'm honestly not concerned with the controls at this point. Nintendo has never failed me on controls.

I want to know about characters more than anything.
Gimme Lyndis and Hector from Fire Emblem.
Or Isaac and Jenna from Golden Sun.

I'd die. A lot. I'd so die with joy. I wanna see characters like that.
I would really like to see any of those four, as they're newer characters that I really took a liking to. And Golden Sun is a relatively recent Nintendo property, and you could do some cool stuff with them in SSB.

I'm also figuring that they'll alter Link/Zelda with whatever is in store with Twilight Princess. They've GOTTA pay homage to that game in some way or another.

And here's hoping for Malon, but that's just random and silly.

And anime voices are being used more in games now. Take Sonic Riders, for example. I'd rather have voices consistent from an anime than different in each game.

Charmander made the first stretch of the game a bit hard, but it paid off later.

I've been around Newgrounds quite a bit, but I have found some real gems of flashes there, and I feel compelled to share the best Mario ones with you guys.

They're simply awesome.

You want raw, hard-core action?

Check out Power Star! It's got some really sweet action scenes, especially for sprites.

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/235325
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/283913

Something well-rounded? Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom serves up some action, some humor, and some emotion, all in one. It's a real quality flash series.

All four parts can be found here:

8-bit flashes seem to always suck, but this series really blew me away. Not only does it bring the 8-bit Mario world to life, it is very tragic and emotional. Definitely worth the time if you're open to more artistic stuff.

And I know it's not Christmas time, but I just LOVE this short to death. Not only does it have slick visuals and sound, it's such a kicker.

Anyway, I hope you can enjoy these. I think they're definitely worth the time of any Mario fan.

It's been a big topic in my dorm lately, us being a brotherhood and all, and it's come to my attention that pornography is actually a pretty big problem in our society today.

I guess I just don't realize how bad because I've never looked it up. Does that sound weird? I mean, I'm almost 19, in college, etc. My little brother in high school has a problem with porn.

But, seriously, I kid you not, (and I know this is weird) naked girls turn me OFF. I want to look at naked women about as much as I want to look at naked men--which is not at all. I mean, it's not that I cry out in terror at the site of a naked person, it just doesn't arouse me at all to see a naked women, and does the opposite for some reason.

Anyway, I'm just sort of wondering how often people do look pornography. Obviously, this is about honesty. You don't have to vote, so please be honest if you do. I'm rather curious about this, as it's something I don't understand.

Ah, and then there's me, who can't quite understand the loyalties people place so strongly in things such as sports teams and bands.

I like songs of all types, not certain types of songs. Rap? In general, I hate it, but once in a while comes a rap song I like.

So I can't quite comprehend all of this odd loyalty, and 'so-and-so sucks' but I guess I can try and compare it to, say, my loyalty for Nintendo.
So if Nintendo starts doing stupid things, I get mad at them. But I still love the stuff they've made that's good, and I'm going to support them and hope they correct their mistake.

But I guess bands are different, eh?

The Mario gameplay is simply legendary. There are currently only 3 TRUE Mario platformers to date, and when you have such fun and amazing gameplay, I love to see well-done games that test that gameplay.
If you're going to make your own version of a game series, Mario is a really good one to do, and so is Zelda, because they both have such amazing gameplay to work from.

Yea, Ganondorf from WW would be amusing.

I would want to see a WW stage, honestly. It would look really cool. They could even alter some of rhe effects, like Bob-Omb explosions, and have them look WW style.

Oh. My 'brotherhood' isn't about bragging. We're in a Christian community, and the guys here are really open, honest, and humble about things. (not to say it's perfect in the least around here, but...) The guys here aren't happy if they've had sex, they're ashamed.

And by the way, contrary to what my dad might think, no, I'm not gay.
I'll admit, I seem to think like a girl when it comes to dating, etc., but I'm most definitely straight.

Actually, even girls in a bikini don't really excite me. It depends on how skimpy the bathing suit is. When it's to the point where they may as well be naked, it's kind of disgusting to me.
