This should fix it:
For the level that has garbage at the bottom of the BG layer, go under the Super GFX Bypass dialog and change the initial position of the BG. It should fix the problem, but I haven't had it happen in a long time so my memory could be screwy. Edit: I was wrong, Smallhacker has it. My bad. It's funny because I actually double checked and I was in that dialog, but I still said the Bypass windows (edited by Disruptive Idiot on 08-20-06 09:10 AM) (edited by Disruptive Idiot on 08-20-06 10:45 AM) |

Great tutorial, though I didn't use it to learn ASM. I still found it a good read though.
I was just wondering, will you be covering DMA any time soon? I haven't been able to make sense of it on my own and I haven't been able to track down a really nice documentation of it. |

The new plan is actually very sensible. There is no scientific basis of classifying an object as a planet that isn't already incorporated into the new definition.
One of the key things about classifying planets is how they're formed, and that's why the plutons differentiated from the major planets, they were formed differently. For all intents and purposes there will still be 9 planets that matter. The plutons are practically a class of their own but still are identical to planets except in typical size and formation. Ceres is visible with binoculars =p
Those textbooks should take a hint and follow international convention. It's like defining the meter as the sum of the length of the chickens you can lay end to end from a gas station in San Antonio to greenland. |

Thanks for the reference. Here's the document because google isn't any help and it took me a few minutes to find it. Somebody else might want to use it.

The best way to translate would probably be to learn Japanese sentence structure and grammar, and then look up individual words and re-build the sentence in English. I'm a little familiar with the language and I think the reason translators suck especially in English-Japanese translation is the fact that the grammar is completely different, with English having ways of implicitly defining certain ideas (such as temporal relations) and Japanese doing the same with other concepts (obviously formality and humbleness for one). There's even a verb form in Japanese that has no possible translation in English (the passive intransitive)!

It would be more substantial if it spat out a 1-up occasionally, but then it could be abused. Perhaps a red coin (worth 5)?

Unpleasant memories... resurfacing!
This is totally a useless thread of misery and needs to be closed. |

I'm not commited as of yet, I'm a Junior in High School. Most likely I'm going to go to a university in the city (That is, New York City) as an undergraduate, and perhaps abroad afterwards if I choose to pursue a doctorate.
As for majors, I'm not entirely sure. I find medicine appealing and an English major isn't out of the question if I choose to pursue my hobby of writing. I'm studying several languages right now, so linguistics or a foreign language aren't out of the question either. |

Whew, that was a doozy of a survey. I hope I contributed to something scientifically useful.

While it won't teach them ASM or anything about the routine, it will teach them good programming practice: Do the most amount of work with the least amount of effort possible. |
