Hey!

Cool. So would that mean I might possibly have a chance to make a poison mushroom?

EDIT: BMF, Would you be able to post the entry for the unused chuck sprite here?

Hey!

Just another one of my *ahem*numerous*ahem* theories, but if someone could figure out how far layer 2 moves every frame/ $n frames, someone might be able to search for the offset. I'll look for it tonight as well. It can't be too far after the start of the ASM for the control sprite, right?

Actually, No you can't.

I just did that, but the same thing happened: plain circle-no yellow dot...!

That's probably because Lunar magic doesn't work that way

But when I go into the level again, that leads to it, or the level where the dot should be revealed, it appears (without the blink). Also, randomly, some other level dots get revealed, even before I completed the level before it (without the blinking, of course)!

hmmm.... Sounds like you have your events/levl tile settings mixed up. When you copied and pasted the level tile, did you reset the level settings? The level settings are coied too, you know.

So while I'm here, how can I make the dot blink before it reveals?

I'm seriously confused..I want to make a good overworld so much..!

If you could get it right, it would work fine. I know how difficult it can be to work with the overworld, even with how easy LM makes it.

About the grinders... Couldn't you change them with the MW Reconfigurator to stopmario from sliding into them?

Hey!

I was looking around the forum today, but I can't find anything on SS. Wasn't it supposed to be released yesterday? Or have I just missed something blatantly obvious? I'm not worried about a couple of bugs, but I was wondering what happened.

Hey!

Yea, I heard that it was supposed to be released at the end of the german winter holidays, around Feb. 15th, then Feb. 20th. Could you help out here, blackhole89?

Hey!

I was testing my game, and I Came across something wierd. The World-8 palette is seriously messed up, but only in that world and the levels within it. Everything else is fine. Would anybody have an Idea what I did wrong?

Here are some screens:
How it appears in LM OW editor

How it appears in ZSNES

In ZSNES, the level points aren't animated, either.
BTW, the messed submap is Bowser's valley, specifically, and the events triggered were the castle-7 destruction and earthquake sequences from the same level, level 18. Also, the first of the "special world" events, "change OW colors" was activated, but in LM the colors don't change.

I am simply shooting in the dark here, but what if you just tried rearranging bits to find out how the SNES reads mode 7 GFX. I don't know for sure, though.

Hey!

Yes, i'm sure, because If I reopen the OW editor the palette changes are there. That still doesn't explain why the animated colour entries (red + yellow) were greyed out. Also, the only out-of-palette tiles are the earth tiles. Would those do it, because they use the status bar palette?

Hey!

I don't think that would be possible without a lot of ASM. The SMW engine does not support L4 as far as I know. Of course, I don't know ASM. If you could, thogh, that would be excellent

Hey!

I was Working on my game, and found a possible hangup. For some reason, when an ExGFX file(s) are used in Submaps, the palette for the Layer 1 tiles and any animated L2 tiles (like lava), and sometimes the status bar palette entries in the levels themselves are messed up.

hmmm. I removed everything that showed up as being out of the useable colour range in a level i had configured to edit OW GFX. I'll have to keep trying, I suppose.

Hey!

Well, all I can say is you picked some very good people to be mods. Now perhaps there will less flaming and more discussion around here with two more mods. BMF and Fu were good, but this forum is very active, and I'd say that some two people couldn't handle it alone.

Now to find out how to be a mod, too....

Hey!

that's really good for a ten-year-old's game. I'm only 14, so my game, Chronicles, isn't going to be very good either. Fix the palette on 106 and redo some of the yoshi GFX so there are fewer glitches and more yoshi variety (egg enemies, maybe), and your game will be great.

Hey!

two questions:

1. would it theoreticlly be possible to change which palette entry is changed by the lightning routine for the Bowsre's Valley submap to colour 00, and use it in a normal level, and

2. if so, what is the address/ colour entry needed to call it with BMF's palette ASM control patch?
