Hey,

Has anybody figured out a way to change the speed of 2nd layers (like the yellow ones in underground levels and such)?

Thank you.

Globally, no. For individual levels, I've almost worked out how to move them with custom blocks or palette ASM, but there's some positioning problems.

I am pretty sure that BMF uses it in his hack in the "village of the moon" level. The rain is set to layer 2, and it doesn't stretch the entire level. Its only like 2-3 screens of rain, and they are palette animated (?). Its interesting the way he did it, quite talented when it comes to this things.

And HH, question about your sprite editor: Why do edited generators freeze the game? Even if I paste the exact code (no changes) over to another sprite, it will freeze the game. Can this be fixed? A screen scrolling sprite that scrolls to the left instead of right would be nice.

Hey!

Just another one of my *ahem*numerous*ahem* theories, but if someone could figure out how far layer 2 moves every frame/ $n frames, someone might be able to search for the offset. I'll look for it tonight as well. It can't be too far after the start of the ASM for the control sprite, right?

Not sure, it's probably some weird coding in the game.

as i mentioned in another thread recently... if you edit any sprite over the value of C8, you will be overwriting data that was not intended to be overwritten. The sprite tables are a maximum of C8 in size. All other sprites over this value do not use the tables
