This is an excellent job. I like the idea and what you've done... the second title screen could use some work, but from the screenshots anyway, I have no complaints.

Meh, I never found SNESTool to fuck up anything, but then again, I never used it that long because I found LIPS to be a lot simpler to use.

I couldn't imagine there being a checksum on the rosters... but could there be??? This would seem to be a possibility. And I am not a Genesis hacker, so I would not know how to find a way to switch the checksum off.

EDIT: then again, there might be some sort of checksum for the entire game.

EDIT: Then again, my English teacher, who used to be in the computer biz, has an entire network of computers in his class on Linux, so I have somewhat become used to it.

I actually remember getting myself stuck and in a point where it was impossible to beat the game, for I was trapped... but that was MUCH easlier in my life.

There are certain games that shouldn't be on this list. SMB2j is one of them.

Other people have convinced me of how easy DK is. I am jumping on that bandwagon.

Data has been found for it by Jigglysaint, dan, windwaker, Parasyte, and yours truly. I'm pretty sure I spent the most time on it though (and found the least data per minute). Parasyte did most of the stuff on finding the game's compressions.

However, there has never been a level hack of any kind for it yet. The same goes with KSS. Even less data has been found for it though.

What's funny about their ridiculous overcompression is that they didn't really compress the Lolo series that well at all. I guess they were just trying to make up for their crappy job of compression there by going insane with the other games that followed.

I'm not exactly sure if the compression is the same as KA and KSS, but I'll just hope that Yoro actually took the time to find this out for sure. You can use Parasyte's decompressor if this turns out to be the case.

You DID actually verify KDL's compressions, right, Yoro?

Oh my... so many Square and Enix titles to think of...

Ok, let's put it this way. I like almost all titles by Square and Enix. Particularly FFVI (S), DQVI (E), Bahamut Lagoon (S), Soul Blazer series (E), SD 2+3 (S), CT (S), DQIV (E), and FFV (S). Along with that, I like Lufia 2 (Natsume, though Lufia 1 was Taito), SM All Stars + SMW (Nintendo), DKC series (Rare), LttP (Nintendo), Kirby Super Star (HAL), Earthbound (Nintendo and some gorrilla thing), Kirby's Dreamo Course (HAL), Tetris Attack (Nintendo), Mortal Kombat (Midway), SMAS+SMW (Nintendo), SMW2 (Nintendo), StarFox (Nintendo)....

And I'll say Star Ocean and SMRPG, because I'm not so sure how much work was contributed by Tri-Ace and Nintendo to the respective games.

EDIT: as a side note, I have more "favorites" on this system than any other.

We can like, edit the overworld. Now we can officially hack FF2 more than FF3 (though Disch didnt spend much time on that) Woo hoo! Go Leno! Can't wait to start seeing people actually hack this game with your editor! ...Although, I'm sure a lot of people still won't be interested until Standard Map editing appears
