| Well, I hope my birthday this sunday(sept. 12) will be memorable. The only other birthday that I can think of that was really something was my 8th birthday; when I got my own bike. I really don't enjoy gifts that can just be kept as memories later on in my life. I hope my family surprises me good enough. You see, this year, I told them to get me something WITHOUT me knowing, instead of me telling them what to get. I don't think I want a game this year, cuz the only games I want right now are on PC, and I need it FRICKING UPGRADED first. I think I should get a job first for that and for the games. Geez, my summer was a waste; I couldn't even find a damned job. | |||

| Emule is the best p2p program in my opinion. I can find the rarest crap online fast. I downloaded Symphony of the Night rather quickly, the ISO everyone is begging for. Also, I have no viruses of any sort, and I have kept the program running 24/7 for almost a year. (not constantly, of course) | |||

| As I ALWAYS say; why buy any metal slug game when you can download all of them? (1-5, X) One game that I desperately want, if I can get my PC upgraded, is Star Wars: Battlefront. It comes out tomorrow and its gonna kick ass. It's like totally living star wars battles. |

| I have been waiting for this game as well. But I have heard a lot of bitching from people who have played it. The main gripes are directed to vehicles being impervious and maps being confined. But it apparently is good as a full on war game. If they release more maps later on, I might get it. | |||

| Well, I have a little problem. Because of my little sister's busted ethernet card and because of my siblings' laptops, my mom and I decided to get a new ethernet card and a wireless router. The router is a D Link Airplus ExtremeG DL-624 802.11g wireless. And the airport on my sister's powerbook can support 802.11g routers. But, when I go through with the steps, (going to http://192.168.0.1), the screen freezes while trying to detect the connection type. And I can't seem to get anywhere without the ethernet cable attached to the laptop. Now the ethernet card. Well, I went about all the steps-- installing drivers, putting it in properly, etc. etc. But, I have encountered the same problem I got when I got a new ethernet card-- THE CARD WONT RECEIVE, IT WILL ONLY SEND!! However, I seem to have forgotten what I did to make the thing work. Please, someone help me. |

| Well, you can forget about the wireless networking, because I got that working. But the ethernet card is connected to a port in a linksys switch, connected to my linksys 4 port router. I have other computers connected to the switch and the router and they all work. But the new ethernet card seems to be having problems renewing the IP. As I said before, I installed all the drivers for the card, and it IS detected by both the router and the computer. Yet, the computer only sends and occassionally receives. Also, I typed in 'ipconfig' in the command prompt, and it appears that there is already an IP address. (not 192.168.x.x) |

| Well, I fixed the problem on my own. It seems that some Sockets were messed up and I had to delete them and reinstall the TCP/IP connection. You can close this thread now. |
