Would it be nine? Since Mr. Bird originally married a widow, her children wouldn't carry the Bird family name, so technically they wouldn't be a part of the Bird family, meaning Harold would have had three kids when they were married. If Mrs. Bird isn't directly related to Harold Bird's three children, then they would have had to have nine kids to make 12, with Mrs. Bird's pre-Bird children remaining a variable. | |||

It would have to be 6... Both parents are both related to 6 of the children, and they each have 3 of their own. Here is a very nifty diagram.. {1 2 3 [4 5 6 7 8 9}10 11 12] {x} are the children related to the widow [x] are the children related to Mr. Bird See, they overlap Or dont overlap.
