I'll make a slight variation of what Smallhacker said, and try 'ICU'. Of course, you could also read it as 'Intensive Care Unit', or something else, but I'm more going with the pronounication of the letters, so it would be 'I See You'.

Would it be nine? Since Mr. Bird originally married a widow, her children wouldn't carry the Bird family name, so technically they wouldn't be a part of the Bird family, meaning Harold would have had three kids when they were married. If Mrs. Bird isn't directly related to Harold Bird's three children, then they would have had to have nine kids to make 12, with Mrs. Bird's pre-Bird children remaining a variable.
