For your convenience, here's a list of links to all the howto threads that will eventually come up in this forum, and also get buried a bit.

Not really, about the closest you could probably go is to manually clear all the data apart from basic enemy definitions or whatever, then start from there

That's just a guess though.

I'm pretty sure I can safely say we're ready to welcome the community with open arms. And don't worry about the wiki, all will be handled in due time.

Well, welcome to Board2. Anyways, since we were caught off guard by the sudden shutdown of genericboard and Arbe directing you all here, we haven't had time to set up any forums or anything for you. Anyways, please feel free to make any fraxy threads here in Gaming, but if you could, adding [Fraxy] to the thread title will make it easier for us to move the threads once a Fraxy forum in put into place.

Have a nice stay, and please do enjoy the other forums as well.

Well, I think it's fair to say that there's even more coming down the pipe, with any luck it'll be within a few months, because we've wanted to get a few projects done, and we're finally getting around to working on them prototyping them, etc.

An increased number of users increases the probability of increased activity.

Trolling/being a jerk was unnecessary too, btw.

Since this is in effect in a couple of the other forums, we're going to implement it here. Basically, the idea is that when a thread is made, tags are added to the thread title such as [boss] or [try], or such. Now, I don't play much fraxy due to university, so there's going to need to be a good bunch of input from you guys on this. The idea is, it'll help to organize the forums and make it easier to sort threads. and with that, here's a list of current or suggested thread title tags, for your consideration.

[Boss] - Denotes that the forum thread is related to bosses
[Try] - Denotes that the forum thread is related to try files
[SS] - Screenshots are used in the opening post
[Video] - A video file or embed is present in the thread.
[56K] - this is meant as a warning to users on slow internet connections that the thread contains high-file-size or large videos. [SS] and [video] imply this, though it's still nice to include it
[HowTo] - The thread contains a guide on how to do something, or a question how to do whatever.
[question] - Indicates the thread contains a question
[Contest] - This will be used to denote a contest involving Fraxy, ala the monthly contests.
[Script] indicates that it is about Fraxy event coding.
[Info] - This will be used to state general information involving Fraxy such as updates and other Fraxy data.
[Other] - Anything that doesn't fit in the previous categories.

..And that's just a small number. If you have any others that would be good to include, please post them here.

Actually the community as a whole simply hasn't come yet; this board is in place to handle the expected influx of users.

...And that post is exactly the kind of activity we don`t need. Undeleted for this post.

And at any rate, might as well ask in the active thread. If given a main page, what functions would you want to have available from it?

Dwarf Fortrress. Incredibly addicting, and doesn't need much RAM or videocard power, maybe just a gig or two of RAM. Needs a helluva lot of CPU power though.

HappyLee: First off, please don't sign your posts with your name every time. Secondly, I don't think it's the 3rd-hardest in the world; tell me that after you've played every hack that comes out of Japan.

Lastly, your grammar and punctuation were horrible, please remember to add spaces after commas and periods, and capitalize correctly.

..Actually, I wasn't aware of his nationality when I made that post. Secondly, I stand by what I said; the only way he'll be able to get better is if he's told what's wrong so he can work on it.

been working some.

I'd be interested. IF so, I'd have to recommend we start somewhere relatively peaceful, and with an abundance of resources. I'd recommend somewhere heavily forested; magma/iron/etc is nice but heavily forested sections are much easier in the early game.

Of course, forested + Magma is best, but that's incredibly rare...
