The spotlight box cycles between entries every 60sec, it is currently used to display new releases, which will not be limited by hacks alone.

Anyhow, this was supposed to be a locked thread, no idea why I left it open. :p

IPS patches are the most common distribution method for hacks AFAIK.

A patch is made by storing the changes after comparing two ROMs. So you get a patching tool and a clean unmodified ROM and use that and the hack to make a patch.
