| Queen was ridiculously theatrical glam rock. Pretty much the epitome of 'style over substance' in their day not to mention a precursor to some of the most atrocious music in history(glam/hair metal). The Beatles were just some britpop trash before they discovered LSD... but once they started dropping acid regularly (and explaining to everyone that "All You Need is Love"), those charming young men made some of the most brilliant pieces of modern music ever. John Lennon was one hell of a human being with a wonderful head on his shoulders, too. The fab four get my vote. Definitely Jimi. Aside from being a local boy, this man was an expert at the blues and pretty much set the standard for rad guitar tricks. Gotta love this guy. |
