The funny thing about Jimi Hendrix is that he was a one hit wonder...

Awsome musician though but I can't over look U2. One of the 2 nonmetal bands on my top 25 band list (REM would be the other)

Um, no? Whatever gave you that impression?

Anyway, great matchup here containing two of the best groups of all time. I'm giving my vote to Jimi though.

According to VH1. He only had one song on the charts, meaning only one hit. I only hear one of his songs on the radio also so meh.

Doesn't matter though, doesn't take anything away from his as a musician.

I'm not sure. I'm not a Hendrix expert. I was just repeating what I heard on VH1. Thats all.

I think they mean pop charts, Leg. Could be wrong, but whateva.

Went for U2 here... they're probably gonna get creamed (Max, ya KILLIN' me here!) but I just like their stuff better than Hendrix. He's probably going to end up being more influential when it comes to musicians beyond your local bar (I only say that because I'm trying to point out that you can't underestimate U2's influence) but in the end, U2's music now comes off as more interesting and vivrant than Jimi's. Shame when you think about it, but it just is.

I really can't see the fuss in U2's music, Yep they made some awesome songs arounf "The Joshua Tree" area, but they're just.. ok. Not the best band in the world. Jimi Hendrix on the other hand is an awesome musician, he beats "the Edge" into a cocked hat.

My vote is for Jimi.

I thought it was TGI Friday's... Or is it different in England?

No, TFI Friday was a popular prime-time show a few years back. They used to have lots of celebrities and bands in for informal interviews

Definitely Jimi. Aside from being a local boy, this man was an expert at the blues and pretty much set the standard for rad guitar tricks.

Gotta love this guy.
