You all know about those spam mails you all get at a daily basis in your e-mail inbox and such. Usually they're trying to sell something and such, but why, OH why, do some people just send e-mails with random characters in it? What USE does it have to them?

Edit: And how do they get your e-mail? I made a totally new hotmail account and I didn't select any ad-mails and the first day I already had heaps of spam mail. :l

Bots that look for e-mail addresses? Evil. :O So that's why most people type their e-mails like blabla at hotmail dot com.

Yeah, but then the file is also byteswapped, hex workshop can byteswap the file for me, no?

Edit: So I byteswapped the file and then searched for my name but didn't find anything. Altough it IS there. I just didn't play on it yet because Windows crashes when I try to do so.

Actually, I recall there being a way to edit the built-in gameshark codes. But I'm probably confusing Project 64's cheat function with ePSXe's.

If you suck at using ExGFX and/or normal GFX, all in all, if you suck at making levels, as little as possible, if you're really good at it, use ExGFX to your heart's content!

Hmm, yes, I've noticed the big overload of pictures too, I'll look into a way to fix this. Maybe a new layout?

A big table with rows and columns and you'll just get a link and when you click it a new window opens with the pictures.
Pro? Contra? Anyone?

Alrighty then,
ToDo list for The ExGFX Workshop 3.0
- Slightly new layout
- Sorting files (Until now only sort on Name/Author/Pallette)
I'm looking into a way to also be able to sort on other things like type and such, but I don't want to rename all the files again, anyone have some suggestions?

No ... You stick files a b and c in folder A, and files d, e and f in folder b... no need to change filenames... unless you are an organization freak...

Wich I am
I currently have all the zips and images in the same folder and I want a way to only get the rips out there without having to rename them so the script can recognise them as rips. I was thinking of a select case where it checks for the name. This would however mean that I have to add every file to a PHP file and set its properties, I could do that, I'm bored anyway.

It's one of the F buttons, I forgot wich one, that should also be in the first post I think, else it's another post in here.
PM me for my e-mail, your author code will be kp9.

ExGFX note: I'm moving all files to a database for the sorting, stay tuned. I already got the new layout and all done.

Posted on 06-20-04 06:16 PM, in Sorting is ... [PHP/MySQL] Link
Alright, so I'm working on the ExGFX workshop and I got the sorting all worked out and all, but now I have some little problems.

I have 8 columns: URL, Name, Author, Palette, Type, Pic8, Pic16, Downloads.

When I sort on URL, Name and Author one file just DOESN'T APPEAR. It's not in the damn list! The file starts with a number and all the other files with a letter. Here's my code:

$sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM kt15x_files ORDER BY $sorting ASC");
for($i=0;$file[$i]=mysql_fetch_array($sql, MYSQL_ASSOC);$i++);
while($next = next($file)){
$url = $next[URL];
$name = $next[Name];
echo "$name";
$author = $next[Author];
$palette = $next[Palette];
$type = $next[Type];
$pic8 = $next[Pic8];
$pic16 = $next[Pic16];
$downloads = $next[Downloads];
MakeTable($url, $name, $author, $palette, $type, $pic8, $pic16, $downloads);
}

The $sorting variable is set in the beginning of the file with a switch.
Why doesn't it show the 3 at ALL in URL, Name and Author? :s

EDIT:
I have a page that outputs a file with header thingies and all so your download'll start. (download.php?file=filename) but when I tried to input a bit of MySQL so it would add to a counter in the DB it still gave the file for download but it didn't update the DB.
Here's the code:
include_once("db_connect.php");
$filename = $_GET['file'];
$counter = mysql_query("SELECT `Downloads` FROM `kt15x_files` WHERE `Name` = $filename LIMIT 1");
$counter = $counter++;
$sql = mysql_query("UPDATE `kt15x_files` SET `Downloads` = $counter WHERE `Name` = $filename LIMIT 1");
$sql = mysql_close($connection);
This doesn't return an error or nothing, is it because download.php is getting the header of a .zip file when you download from it?

cpubasic13: I did that.
blackhole89: I think I deleted the e-mail then, please resend it and put something along the lines of "ExGFX" in the subject line.

EDIT:
Sorting for downloads will also be available in (one of) the new version(s). Because I'm currently having some trouble because of the way I did my DB to have a download counter, but I'm lookin' into it.

Very nice.
I especially like the light burst in the first screenshot.
Is it just me or is the sprite in the light actually brighter?
