What about BGB? It's got a debugger now.

Seems comparable to FCEUxd to me: * disassembler * assembler (change code and ability to save modified rom) * breakpoints * break on access * conditional breakpoints * singlestepping/tracing/animating/step out/step over * vram viewer: BG map, tiles, OAM, palette * IO registers viewer * break on exceptions (accessing inaccessible VRAM, read unitialized WRAM and HRAM, echo ram access, access locked external ram, disable video outside vblank) The feature sets for both FCEUxd and BGB seem very similar to me. There's even conditional breakpoints in BGB. BGB has probably the best debugger available in any emulator for any system. |

I don't think there is a publically released towns/caves/etc editor. I remember the guy (Yousei?) who made the editor for the world maps, was working on a towns editor a while back (a few screenshots were posted on ZMD a while back), but not much has been heard of it since.

The pokemon hacking community must be in a bad shape if the release of a table file is celebrated.

From what I can tell, it works in the same way as the IPS format. What my problem is with the way that iNES ROMs are structured in a file. In the file, there is usually three sections, in the following order: iNES Header PRG ROMs CHR-ROMs Adding data to CHR-ROM is easy and doesn't require the moving of any data. However, when you add to PRG ROM, it will include everything after CHR-ROM in the patch. Even maybe a few banks of PRG-ROM, as you usually can't just tack FF's onto the end of the PRG-ROM area, you have to insert them at a certain place in the PRG-ROM area. |

Oh! You mean the infamous "Debug My Hack For Me" feature? It doesn't have that. bbit should add that to FCEUxd.

Doing that is evil. I personally hate applications that attempt to steal the focus, especially when I'm just in the middle of typing something. Maybe, (and this is a long shot), but minimizing the application, then restoring it would bring it to the top. Maybe something like this? |

Let's put this as simply as possible. Jason is a troll. He's also a stupid troll. Where some trolls are devious and manipulative, he is not. Now, one thing that can make trolls go away is to not reply to their threads/posts. Sure, he might think that Poke Community sucks (what do you expect? It's a community solely dedicated to Pokemon! It's not going to attract high-calibre posters unfortunately), but this is not Poke Community. Nobody wants to hear about that stuff here. I'd like to hope he would change, but if the guy isn't going to change in 4 years, then he isn't going to change in another 4 years. |

I don't think that the server has much to do with the robots.txt file. I presume the bot fetches the file itself, and does the check.

Internet Storm Center has a post about it. Interesting that it uses Google. (edited by dan on 12-21-04 03:05 PM) |

It's entirely possible that the code you have is for a different version of the ROM. Download all versions of the ROM, and try those.

And this has to do with ROM hacking how? It just sounds like you want to sell custom PCs.

God, the only way I could hit the panda was to pause the damn flash. I think that stupid giggle will give me nightmares tonight. For those of you lazy enough now to want to click the panda, here's an alternative download site: Binary Source Awesome tool by the way. It's great to have a version with name table viewing. |

I remember seeing this bug mentioned on another forum, recently mentioned in this very forum by a certain retard. (I was just checking out whether the forum was truly lame by the way ) I assume the person who posted about it, was too retarded to actually tell you about the bug. Hopefully the DS doesn't get emulated for a long, long time. I mean, it's not even out yet in some places.

My guess is that the offset you said wasn't actually level data, but some kind of pointer. The data after it definitely looks like a pointer table. Edit - Well I found some TSA data. The TSA bytes for each blocks aren't beside each other in the ROM, but they are $100 bytes apart: 1029A + 1039A - That's part of the TSA of the empty background on the niagara falls stage. 1049F - Part of the attribute data possibly. No, the TSA of each block are $100 bytes apart. The TSA is the 8x8 tiles that make up the 16x16 or 32x32 (not sure which they are in Duck Tales) blocks. |
