Yeah, even when you're trying not to use any ExGFX I would still suggest making a few variations on the original SMW tiles (even if ExGFX is required) to fill in things the original didn't have, like those. I made a cave level with all original graphics but I still needed to make my own bottom corners, just needed a Map16 tweak though. | |||

I'd say it's defective too, but I played games in PJ64 and FCEUXD with it for hours and didn't see a problem. It's only in ZSnes. | |||

I'm still running my backup install which isn't maintained. I don't intend to re-install on the other HD, or even burn the disc, until I get the new parts, for fear that something will screw up and corrupt system files. You wouldn't believe how buggy it's getting; it doesn't even detect mouse clicks properly half the time now. I'm half expecting some part on the board to just pop. [edit] Hopefully nobody minds me deleting/re-posting this, but it's kind of important. Can a CPU with a 266mhz FSB run on a board designed for 333/400mhz? Because I found a nice, inexpensive CPU that seems to be popular (so hopefully it won't get removed anytime soon), but it's 266mhz and the board says 333 or 400. Would they be compatible at all? (I imagine it'd probably run faster than intended, so I'd have to buy a hella nice fan or two, but that's not really my concern right now.) |

Well even though I still need that new motherboard, I'm bored silly without being able to program something, so I decided to set up the relatively simple Gameboy environment I generally use and work on some stuff there. That got me thinking that I should really get into GBA development (and DS eventually, since it's basically GBA and then some). Well the first thing I need is some way to write code. I'd prefer C, but ASM will do just fine too as long as the instruction set isn't needlessly painful (and I haven't heard anything to suggest that it is). What I'm looking for most is simplicity. I've been using tniASM for my Gameboy stuff and I love it because it's so damn simple; it doesn't optimize or auto-anything. (Maybe auto-Nintendo-logo would be nice, but yeah.) So does anyone know a good GBA/DS compiler/assembler similar to this? | |||

If you downloaded it from Fu's site, you should have all the files. And when you edit the bosses make sure you don't change anything, only add sprites, and put it back to the same level mode it was before. | |||

That's not designed to ruin things, it's designed to make enough space for all your custom graphics. (You must be using quite a few. ) Your ROM should be fine when you do that (though programs besides LM won't think so), just ZSnes won't run it. Snes9x will. | |||
