about the bonus level, open up the header info for the level, then see how many screens it has listed. go to the screen numbered one less than the number of screens it has in the ehader, then select everything in that screen and delete it. sometimes tile 25 (empty tile) gets accidentally placed there.

1323, to be exact. I love the X-naut! He is SO cool, and I like the way you are using the art style you are, it lends a mario-esque feel to the pictures. very good.

I vote procupower. since you said they have moves other than the VG ones, the porcus could jump the blocks, one of them eat the mushroom, than attack the beetles when they are defenceless by pirecing their shells.

Hey. #10, the thing in the center is an enemy. Her is supposed to be a koopa in a submarine, but I can't draw worth a poop. The water is level-specific, it is rapids that you can fall through, designed to be "rushing", but I did a poor job of it. The editd OW GFX really only shines in that OW shot, one of world 8. I did small-scale edits on the rest of the OW GFX, including rivers and the like for layer two. The koopa pedestal are BG, I disabled FG veiwing for a reason. The reason for the Bowser FG being so bad was that It was originally proof-of-concept stuff about changing his palettes and stuff before Smallhacker's latest rpogram came about. the pshee in the center, let's just say the new version looks like an actual planet. #9 is supposed to be catwalk/girder stuff, with part of the interior present to the far left of the shots, as well as decorative stuff. I also did other parts for the log adjoining tiles, but only one of the three was shown. JJ, I did do a lot of new FG stuff in various levels, and I found it to be a mixed set, honestly. COTMK 2 is getting a better overhaul. The blocks in #6 are important, I'll give you that much.

EDIT: I finally figured out your question GoYo (dumb me). They are very important storyline objects. I won't say anything else.

That and no-one has needed to change anything there yet, so no-one mapped it out. Perhaps you could try?

They still have the box-shaped collision perimeter, just their ASM deals with it instead.

No, very little of it has been mapped. look in the ROM locations thread for any routines that have been mapped, as well as a non-stickied "the ASM locaton thread".

133. Don't settle. do things like MikeyK and franciospress, and try to learn as much about the SMW engine as you can and never give up, just keep trying to attain your goal.

134. Not everyone here is constructive all the time. If we say or do something offensive, ignore it. Only a select few of us actually want to have/see a flame war.

The main things would be knowing where input is handled, how levels are stored in memory (depending on how the game stops you from walking into a wall, this may not be necessary), and a bunch of velocity and state knowledge that I know we already have. I'm pretty sure we don't have a good way to get a special graphic for it where his feat are touching the wall, though.

The custom block approach is already pretty much there for you -- just use one of those mover blocks to accelerate him at those walls. I don' think it'd look too good though.

OK... The game uses a RAM register that hold a byte that hold a value that decide wther mario is gainst a right cliff, left cliff, on grond, in air, swimming, against a concrete block, etc. It shouldn't be too hard to look for a cetain value and act on it. The rest of it could be ASM that calls preexisting code after setting mario's X + Y speeds, and the GFX could be used by taking advantage of some X tiles in mario's GFX file, and maybe saving 4 8x8 tiles by having it so you can only wall jump when big or something.

Well, the title says it all. WinXP on this computer automatically restarts without any shutdown screens or anything, just goes POOF! when I try to open IE outside of Safe mode. I could really use some help here. any suggestions on how to fix this? My parents trust me to take care of our house computers, but I can't do much when Norton is not being updated. Could anyone help here, because this is a major problem. MSN messenger seems to work fine for my brother, though.

sounds sweet. all i'd need to do is change the ball palette laoded, then rewrite code to allow fallthrough.

yea, like if mario is facing the wall, then if the b button is pressed, make him ump and set the X value correctly. not too hard, just read three flags:

1. is mario against a wall
2. is he facing that wall? (read his direction flag, then compare to the wall flag and see if they are correct)
3. is the b button pressed?

if all 3 are true, then have him jump.

I really hate to rain on your parade, but that sounds something like an emulator's netplay option. do you mean like a chatroom and that, like blizzards battle.net? or a live acmlmboard coupled with emulator support?

yea, about two hours after posting this, I fixed the problem by system restoring to May 1st. The same fricken virus is killing has killed my school district's internet, and I actually (I WAS NOT drunk or anything) noticed that the Virus adaptedd to my efforts outside of safe mode, methodically disabling taskman, IE, msconfig, the administrator profile, etc.

for the dolls, one restores your health when you shoot it's head. (mario). it was a developer's joke. yoshi didn't do anything, AFAIK.
