You know what would be interesting? A side-scroller that you have to use P-switches stragetically or you risk dying. For example, there's a line of coins. Normally people would dash ahead and pick them all up, but then realize that the line of coins is actually going over a bottomless pit, and plummet to their doom. They then bring a P-Switch this time and use it, and the line of coins become blocks to help them cross the pit. Fancy coin patterns could actually be platforms to get over walls or pits. Using a P-Switch too soon would result the blocks reverting back to coins or vice-versa, resulting in death. Same with if you use it too late. It's just some ideas, really. =P |

The hack looks interesting, and I'm looking forward to a demo/finished version of it. One thing irks me though - the Tree Zone map you have up there looks terribly odd. But then again, maybe it's just me. Maybe add a background behind the tree? You could always make/pick an inactive water tile or anything that is blue and put it there. Maybe add some clouds? I'm not an expert on hacking, so if I'm not making any sense with the water/cloud tiles, forgive me. |

I saw some of your screenshots in the link you provided above. The "lv 109" screenshot - wow, it looks really complicated and busy. I really hope lag and/or missing sprites will not be an issue here. O_o The overworld screenshot - needs some work. Some areas are too "blocky". Add more variety to the edges. You could make some of them more jaggy. The subworld screenshot - Wow. I have no comment about this one. Just wow. Well, that's a comment, so let's go with that. And the short animated GIF about Kamek/Yoshi, I notice that the bottom half of Kamek's body still uses the bottom half of Mario's sprite, so you might want to fix that. But other than that, it looks kind of odd. How can a pipe move or jump? XP But otherwise it looks very promising - I am looking forward to this. (edited by Sketchie on 08-17-05 03:17 AM) |

All I have to say is that he got owned. I've compared the booty pictures - one from the guy and the other from TiffanyTeen. Really, the only difference is that one picture is closer than the other, while everything else is very similiar. |

Guys, it's Peter_ac's hack, and he can do whatever he very well damn pleases with it. And if he asks you NOT to copy or modifiy it, then don't. But, anyway, I've played your hack, peter_ac, and I must say I am very, very, very, very impressed with it. It sure bought back good memories of the game! It's kind of interesting how you start off with SMB3 levels, but then change into something different. ie: Vegetable Volley, Chill Cavern, Frappe (I guess that's what it is) Snowland isn't in SMB3. But in either case, I'm looking forward to playing this game. |
