Why can't you change the graphic of the 1-UP Mushroom to a Heart? It shouldn't be that hard to do. Don't flame me if I'm wrong, I'm still new to the SMW hacking thing, so... ;;

Anyway, back to the topic - I like the Tree Zone more now. The leaves and flowers on the background is a nice touch. It doesn't look as boring and dull as the first one, so props for you.

the mushroom and the 1-up mushroom load the same graphic but not the same pallete,to make them look different he will need ASM

I'm not trying to bump this topic, infact I'm trying to save it from being so old, that when someone does reply, it will be classed as bumping. This topic is too exciting (for me at least) to be not replied for a month, someone finally replies, someone else calls it bumping, topic is deleted or locked. Anyway, I do have a question about the Tree Zone Boss, which is basically already asked: What are you going to use for the Boss? I can't think of any enemies that swoop down, move across, then fly up in a very square U shape

I meant, I don't want this to have no more replies after a month, otherwise, when someone does reply, this topic might be locked, like smwedit's DKC1/2/3 backgrounds topic was when I apparently 'bumped' the topic. As long as this at least stays on the first page, and doesn't end up on page 13 with no more replies since about 9 months ago, 9 months from now, i.e, date/time is 05-15-06 01:45 PM, and the last post was this post, i.e. 08-22-05 02:52 PM

You really have no idea how this board works, do you?

@Bio: actually, no ASM work is required. Sprite Map16 tiles can be changed via hex editing. I moved around the tiles used used by some sprites like Lakitu, but I was only able to do this because Smallhacker gave me the offsets.

@Link2004, perhaps if you asked him, Smallhacker could give you the offset which controls the tiles the 1-up mushroom uses.

What do you mean I have no idea how this board works? I only presumed that because the topic about DKC backgrounds was closed after I bumped it, then all topics were closed after being bumped.

Edit: What are the chances of that? This message being posted at the same time as Bio's message, except for maybe a few seconds.

I'm partially to blame for the delay of the demo, as I'm only sending him the cape2raccoon patch now. And I think Link wanted to wait for this patch before releasing the demo.

I'm afraid not. The neither the Super or 1-up mushroom is in the standard tile table. In other words: I have no idea how to change it.

Is it OK to say that the demo might be released tomorrow (Wednesday 08-24-05), or a bit later today, or would it have to be delayed for a few days (hope not)?
Sorry if I seem a bit impatient or a bit "GET THIS DEMO RELEASED NOW!!", but I have been waiting since August 3rd, when I started a topic about remaking SML1/2. (3 weeks ago!).

Finally, Heres the demo. I kept the Tree Zone boss and the Mushroom Zone open so people can revisit them as much as they like. So download and tell me what you think.

Note that I'm aware of the small glitchs that appear in some levels and going to work hard to fix them, Including Bunny Mario.
