Wow, lookin' good. Is there (or going to be) support for changing the amounts of 3 & 4 byte objects and enemies, or do you still have to rewrite them manually? Also (I've been away for a long time, so excuse me), has the enemy layout for vertical levels been figured out and implemented here? (obviously I'll find out when I download this during the weekend, but answering sooner could raise my excitement level. .) |

They do display properly in the editors, but in running the rom, most of the enemies just don't show up at all. That frustration is a big reason why I haven't touched the game in over 3 years. Maybe it's just that I fell way behind in keeping up with what's been going on. But the shortcut in the 2nd Giant world fort seemed to have its enemy data stored in a different way than normal. The vertical stretch of 5-2 was a pain, but I figured it out and eventually made a truly awesome level out of it. I made 6-10 into a vertical level on my own, and that's where I was having trouble having the enemies load up properly. |

I saw it differently... Well the Yankees won the next 2 games in the series, but nobody's gonna remember 9-1 and 5-4 games centuries later. If my team could learn to beat the Kansas City Royals I'd be proud of the Yankees for knocking off the division rivals, and the Indians for giving a beating of a lifetime. |

Any chance we could change the amount of time you have to stand in place at the mushroom houses before you're released to pick a chest? I mean, after about 3 of them, I don't need to just sit around and read what the text says anymore.

Originally posted by JJ64 Sorry to bring this back up after so many months of inactivity, but this isn't resistable for me. I hope the Pistons do influence a new, lower scoring style of play to the NBA. First of all, it'll help weed out all the people, who call themselves basketball fans, who are watching the game for all the wrong reasons. Secondly, then maybe it'll help produce a backbone of unselfish, fundamentally sound players, cause it'd be the only way to win championships. We could use them for international competition and restore some pride to the National team by producing blowout after blowout like they used to. Let's face it...IF the US just sent the Pistons over to play in the Olympics (10 of them, at least), they'd have been untouchable. The teams would struggle to score 30 on them. |

Besides Simpsons and King Of The Hill reruns, sports is the only thing on TV that's worth watching to me.

Man...Minnesota showed one hell of an offensive line. They don't play Ohio St. or Purdue, so once they run all over Michigan next month, they should have themselves a co-Big 11 championship. With the Buckeyes, of course. Other than road games at Iowa, NC State, and Purdue, it's another easy national championship for them. Same old story...who's gonna score on them.

Originally posted by Frank15 I downloaded the game 4 days ago and still had that same problem. I edited the map on my own so that I could just walk to those last 2 levels without a pipe. Other than that, however, the level design was fabulous. It's not easy to find hacks that don't use excessive hammer bros, fire-spitting nippers, and invisible coins, while still being challenging. Very nice work. |

There didn't seem to be anything wrong with 7-12. But another level that didn't seem right was 3-6. I either completely missed something or there was some patching error, but I needed a p-wing to get through that. And when I got hit with the p-wing, I used a cloud and a save state. I also didn't understand the "3-8" hint that you stuck in the end of 7-10. And 7-13 ruled, as did any other level where speed is a requirement. |

I tell ya, I just loaded up 3-9 (not 3-6, as I said before) using an .nsm file, and this time, it played fine for some reason. The first time, there was a huge, unpassable vertical barrier that extended from the bottom all the way up to the top of the screen, I guess it was past midway through the level, and it partially overlapped a formation of rings forming a stairset. While I was at it, I played through 3-8 and still didn't find anything. I'm gonna get it soon enough, and I'm not gonna cheat to find it either. And in the 3-10 coin heaven, were both exits supposed to lead to the same place? That didn't seem right either. I like how you set up to get into there, though. |

Alright next question...I've been trying to fine tune a few flaws in my game before I get too far...I pointed out one of them in the screenshot below. Any way to fix this up without ASM? I already tried changing the hex values to the same as the other 3 sides of the border, but that messes up the color scheme for the second half of the level. |

It would have been nice if he would have introduced the autoscrolling thing in a hack that's at least semi-playable. 2, 3, and 5 are the only sections that are possible (1 is finishable, but it just loops back to the beginning of 1), and the level that 5 links to is also impossible, so that's all you can do with this. I need to learn the Japanese character for "not finished". |

Make sure the patch you downloaded was "warp3.ips" (the first one from the top), and not "junmario1.ips" (the one I also downloaded first). Pipes #2, 5, and 7 all lead to auto-scrolling levels.

Well, there are six tiles that make up the border. One for the top and bottom, one for the left and right, and 1 for each of the four corners. The location for the horizontal tile in question here is #CE during the world map screen in Nesticle (yeah I still use that for my graphics...). Sorry I can't come up with a more specific address. So whatever pattern I use for the line across the top, the same will be applied to the line accross the bottom. Except in world 5, where the ground part and the sky part each have their own set of colors. In the original SMB3, its border color is the same color in both parts of world 5, so it's okay there. What I also don't understand is why the bottom two corners, sitting in the same row as the miscolored horizontal bar on the bottom, display the "ground" colors just fine. But that's also the reason why I think this problem could be fixed just by changing one hex value. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help! |

The owners should have taken a stand a long time ago to stop the rising salaries. And I'm talking about all the major sports here. But especially hockey, since they don't make as much revenue to begin with. Cause the players aren't gonna just take pay cuts at this point. What's bothering me the most is the rookies coming into the league thinking they can dictate how much money they're worth without even playing a single minute, and getting away with it! For every rookie that's held out for that reason, I say "Pay your dues, bitch". I think this problem is the one that can be most easily fixed, too. There's no rookies representing the players' union. Cut their salaries and make 'em earn their paper. What are they gonna do about it? And I think the league that has the greatest amount of overpaid players is the NBA and that they'll be in a stoppage whenever their |

Other than the grass (or whatever it is you replaced the bushes with) looking too harmful to be just a prop, these are very impressive graphics, especially the forts, the waterfalls, and the title screen.

Why is it that there are, I'll say, 5000 threads in this forum that haven't been replied to in over a month, all of which are open now, but the instant someone replies to one of those 5000 threads, it gets closed? If the higher powers here must be so picky, why even wait for one of those replies? Why not program the board to close 'em up automatically after a couple weeks of inactivity? Or just wipe 'em off the board altogether; they're just taking up space! Makes no sense at all. If people are still contributing to topics despite the topics not being created so recently, you'd think they oughta be worth keeping open, but I digress... |
