It's stupid. I wouldn't consider a TV show or any other artform to be good if its only purpose was to please people in that manner. Of course, that's not the way that people are in today's society. Anime should be judged on such components as story, art, characters, etc. And, it must also have a blend of these to be good. It cannot have one and lack the other(except maybe art). Aika lacks everything and only has fanservice. 'Nuff said. |

I like all of my classes/teachers except for Physics. I have gotten only one A on a test. And the teacher is a frickin' schizo! I mean sometimes the dude is nice and I can even have conversations with him. But some days, like today, he acts like a total asshole to me. Let me give you an example: Today, we were reviewing a test, while my friend was slapping my other friend's arm and leg repeatedly. This sort of stuff makes me laugh. I only slightly chuckled and he was soo pissed off at me. I told him I wasn't doing anything wrong and that I was paying attention. Yet he was still hassling me. He even said this to me: "Do you have any balls, son?!" I swear, it was so embarrassing, as I uttered "Yea". The most annoying thing about him is the fact that he does this to me. I mean with other students, he doesn't do this to them, even though they act worse. It's like he's always keeping an eye for me. And it's especially frustrating because he always suspects me even though I am not in the least a troublemaker. Another annoying aspect is when other kids turn around, looking at me. I mean, it almost makes me feel as if nobody knows me for who I am. (Nobody really does because I am a different person for everyone) But when he said "Got any balls, son?" I was so ready to whack him in the face. I mean, why is it my fault that I laugh at something funny? Other students are much more annoying and bad but I always seem to be the bad one. I didn't even do anything wrong, damnit. |
Anyway, right after this, my eyes averted for a little bit, and he asked me a question, which I couldn't answer, making me look stupid. That's another thing, everytime my eyes look away for a SECOND, he always says: "Daanish! Pay attention!" He always picks on me, and one day, I am soo gonna expose that rumor of his. (People say that he and another teacher are having an affair.) There are two problems: -No matter how much I saw I would do such a thing, I can't bear to do it because it is not pious. -I like the other teacher.

Well, it's been a while since my last trip to Canada in February 2003. And this year(today, actually, in about an hour), I am going again to Canada. This time, we visit Montreal. (Last year it was Quebec) We should arrive there at about 7:00 tomorrow morning(Friday). Me, Silvershield, and a couple of friends(say about 30 people from our club) are going. The trip is for the CDC, or Cultural Diversity Club. We shall head home on Sunday morning. I have really been looking forward to this trip for a long time. And it's finally here. |

1. 16 2. Male 3. USA 4. Yes 5. I am an otaku that can appreciate anime but still do the same for other cultures. I love anime and stuff but I am not someone who like wishes I was born in Japan or something. I have seen a lot of anime in my time and I know a lot about them especially gundam. (I have been "studying" Gundam since before it came out in USA) I am an OG, and have learned and watched a lot of anime via my bro, except Gundam. 6. I guess I'm more of a shounen guy, but I do like my shoujo here and there. 7. Because my two favorite genres of anime are comedy and action. Sometimes I enjoy a mix of the two, which are more noticeably found in shounen than shoujo titles. 8. Yes 9. Well, it might be mine and Jarukoth's fault. You see, I was obsessed with Naruto during the summer that I told someone about the anime. I had read it in the past year when shonen jump USA released it. Also, the titles on Cartoon Network are where a lot of people watch them. But it doesn't matter, because they're all still newbs. 10. I fear that the future is already here. I can tell when these newbs talk about these things at school. And the funny thing is when people at our school try to say "Naruto". It's not that hard, people! Just say it like they do in the show! 11. Yes, but it's less of geeks than simply "weird kids". 12. It depends because people that fit into these categories talk about the titles non-stop and try watching it and buying their stuff. But then again, I don't believe in stereotypes, so meh. 13/14. Not really, because it's kind of funny. I myself don't really need people to know I watch anime a lot. It's really stupid though, how people think of others like that. 15/16. History ALWAYS repeats itself (something that we learn from Gundam) and no matter how mainstream anime will get, stereotypes will still exist. I mean, within anime, there are stereotypes too. (Gundam freaks are totally obsessed with Gundam, know everything about it, etc.) 17. People should treat anime/animated things as any other art form. It should not be shunned because it's different from other things.

Yea, it's worth it. I have the first two volumes right now. They're pretty good and MOSTLY keep true to the series. There's some deviation. |

Right now, some hot ones that I have and read include Hellsing, Berserk, Trigun, Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal(Manji), One Piece, Naruto, Shaman King, Dragonball, and Iron Wok Jan. But that's just me, I'm somewhat open when it comes to manga/anime |

The original American version is not anime, but is based on it. Some of the later ones that came over here are American manufactured anime(anime made in America by anime makers from Japan.) like Armada. However, it's not really anime, at least I don't see it that way. |

Robotech is different because although the story is changed, the animation is the exact same as macross/southern cross/mospeada. Transformers was made after some dudes stumbled across the Japanese version. Also, in Transformers, almost all the characters are robots. Due to this, anime themes can't really apply as well to a plot change with robots than with humans. |

Terrible movie. Saw it today. The only good things about it were Eric Bana, Peter O' Toole, and the battle scenes. Music, dialogue, character development, etc. were all lacking. |
