Spoiler: If freaking watches could be broken by the storm, why was that camcorder still rolling? How could the TV people get ANYTHING if the cameras all buzzed out DURING the storm, BEFORE any tripods showed up? How could the mechanic NOT notice the people running and the tripods when he was in the middle of everything? Why did they think they could get away on a slow ass moving boat where an assload of people are all on together? They've been planning this for eons but didn't bother inspecting people for weapons before putting them into the cockpit? Why would the lights be flickering and the tripods stop working if the ALIENS were affected by the air? How come suddenly halfway through the movie the aliens decided they needed human blood? Why did everyone suddenly decide to help Tom Cruise out? Were they fans or something? How could the son survive that huge blast? He walked right into it when all of those tanks and aircraft were destroyed. Right next to the tripods. If they vaporized all of the people, why did the girl find CARCASSES in the river? How could the lasers cause fires but leave clothes unharmed? How could the tripod be unharmed by nukes but the eye camera thingie could be cut by an old axe? How could they have such advanced technology but no heat vision or other detecting modes whatsoever on the eye thing? It was fake and it was simply made to entertain. PWNED. |

| I agree. 3.) Spoiler: Filler doesn't always have to be bad. If you look at anime like City Hunter or in a more familiar vein, Cowboy Bebop, it's ALL FILLER. (With Bebop, it didn't work as well because, well, it really needed more episodes based on the story) With Naruto, filler is always bad because we all know why they're doing it-- to make money. They know people will watch it even if it sucks. So that gives me more reason to be pissed. 4.) Because then you don't have to worry about what other people think as much. When tons of people watch a show like Naruto, you know a lot of them are misinterpreting it because a lot of them will be anime nubs who were drawn in by the show's charms. But they start watching for the wrong reason. It spoils the cultivation cycle of fresh otaku. |
