you did not specify how the height changes... you simply stated the dimensions of the bottom portion. Perhaps if you could give us the rest of the information we could help you |

HyperHacker, I know some things have changed, and actually all the images that are on this site are MOSTLY loaded from NOT THIS SERVER (IE Layouts) Furthermore, the onlything that could have increased bandwidth that much is RSS, and we all know that the tiny text files RSS spits out would not add that much overhead.... If they DO add that much overhead then all I can say is *cough cough* Also, the average views have only increased by TWENTY FIVE percent, that's not that much.... and there are still about the same post per day as there were while I hosted it. The fact remains, an $8 Lunarpages account will service this board and yeah Havoks, the whole reason for me creating this thread, is that the request for "lots and lots of money" is CLEARLY not actually for the FORUM and it rather bothered me that the administration would exploit the userbase that way to ask them for something that shouldn't even be CLOSE to their responsibilitiy. That would be like me telling all my family I had cancer so they would send me money and I bought a motorcycle instead.... |

lol knuck you crack me up dood, that and the layout hasn't changed any.... 96% of the members are still using daily cycle... so the ONLY thing that could have affected overall bandwidth use neglecting the approximately 25% more page views (which translates EXACTLY into 25% more bandwidth which is still like nothing) would be RSS... and I as well as anybody know that the plain text output of RSS even if hit 1000's of times a day would not increase bandwidth usage that much so quit trying to snowball people into sending you money for nothing, lol |

umm okay first of all I don't konw what the hell you did blackhole but all you have to do is plug those numbers in that charge into the formula from page 1... furthemore.... all the ansewrs are slightly under 216 look at the friggin chart RIGHT ABOVE THE PROBLEM... when x is 6 the volume is greatest it goes down on both sides of that, just like it should... so... all you have to do is plug the 5.9 and 6.1 numbers into the friggin equation 54x - 1/2 x^3 PROBLEM SOLVED |

the equation for the volume of the box is clearly 2x^2 + 2x^2 + 2xh + 4xh = 216 (top) + (bottom) + 2 of the sides (x*h) + 2 of the other sides (2xh) don't be a wacko blackhole, I misread the question I swa question four ignore the other three and thought it said question 3 *shakes head* (edited by ErkDog on 09-10-05 03:52 PM) (edited by ErkDog on 09-10-05 04:13 PM) |

actually unless it's anime recorded from TV in japan it is illegal as all the "US" Anime is released by companies such as ADX or Pioneer. Most of which are even members of the MPAA |

especially one friggin page you already wrote 3/4ths a page bitching about the assignment in the first place. Maybe if you close firefox and set your crack pipe down for a whopping 10 minutes you could manage to "scrounge" up a pissy page of text. |

Mouse, 3 gigs a day is bullshit for this forum, it never used more than 15 in a MONTH when I hosted it. And the page views are approximately 25% higher so that's like 20 Gigs at BEST per MONTH. Lunarpages will support this forum, as I've stated about 50 times now. Turn PHP GZip on like you should have had on all this time anyway. |

OMFG BUY AN 8 DOLLAR HOSTING ACCOUNT AND TURN ON GZIP IT WILL USE 25 GIGS A MONTH AND THIS FORUM DOES NOT NOT NOT USE THAT MUCH CPU GOD for fucks sake Report for: http://forums.networkchaos.net/thread.php?id=12658 Result The webpage is COMPRESSED / GZIPPED! >> Savings: 88% Filesize: 61.9KB [7.6KB] html / text only instead of 62K of HTML it's EIGHT K of html. Gzip does NOT use that much more CPU and furthermore, that's not even your problem it's your webhosts. But I have gzip turned on globally and when I hosted this board as well as mine which had half again as much traffic as this one my load average sat at .00001 constantly TURN ON GZIP TURN ON GZIP TURN ON GZIP TURN ON GZIP (edited by ErkDog on 09-21-05 07:47 AM) |

well let's think abou thtis for a minute. a VDS still gives them a server to play with, albeit a virtual server a server nontheless which is NOT NECESSARY. And Hyper, surely you don't believe something like that... If it were that simple they would have done it.... Think of how many dozens of situations where simple things would have obviated or alleviated the situation and they were not done. Laff It IS that simple I own and operate my own WEBHOSTING business don't even try to act like I don't know. I even pasted conclusive PROOF not 2 posts ago.... it took the HTML from 62K to 8K just by turning it on. It is that simple they just want a VDS to play with now instead of a full server. either way AN 8 DOLLAR LUNAR PAGES ACCOUNT WOULD SUFFICE |
