It's your browser, it somehow use the wrong character encoding, thus some character won't appear.

Well, it think it's that.

I think it's the character encoding as well. I've got mine set to Western (Windows-1252) in Firefox right now, and all three of those examples you gave show up fine for me It depends on what browser you're using though. If there's an Auto-detect option, try using that, otherwise, look for one that says 'Western' or something

I thought it might be something of that sort, so I switched to ISO-8859-1, and it never bugs now (it was only like this half the time) .

the ISO-8859-1 is the default one, and i suggest you stick with it. It seems to work with all the encoding.

Even then, it's possible that the font being used doesn't support that character. Terminal, for example, doesn't. Pok

it is because that accented e isn't in Terminal

anyways, character encoding problems between roman characters is rare--a real problem is if you were encoding in a language that needs two bytes per character like Japanese...

Gee thanks, I couldn't figure that out. I was looking for information about it. Thanks for the link, Zem.

Hmm, by any chance is it based on IE?

Yes, HyperHacker. Maxthon uses the IE core, and the programmers of it fix the bugs & security holes that Microsoft won't.
