I think it's the character encoding as well. I've got mine set to Western (Windows-1252) in Firefox right now, and all three of those examples you gave show up fine for me  It depends on what browser you're using though. If there's an Auto-detect option, try using that, otherwise, look for one that says 'Western' or something  |

it is because that accented e isn't in Terminal  anyways, character encoding problems between roman characters is rare--a real problem is if you were encoding in a language that needs two bytes per character like Japanese... |
