I have one main one: Zulu

Take the Close Combat engine, and create a game about the Zulu War.
It would be a real time strategy. No resource gathering, all combat.
British units would basically just be artillery, calvary, and infantry. These could be split off into specific things, like marksman.
There would be a ranks system that goes up with levels. If a certain character shows bravery, promotion, etc.
For the Zulus, there would be archers and warriors.

Anybody got any good ones?

I have alot of ideas for games, but most of the time I just add them onto my main project.

I'm also working on a small Pong like Game, which unlike the traditional Pong with only two players, it would be able to work with 4 players. It would look like a square, and the ball would bounce around and when someone cannot bounce it back, he or she loses a point, and then the player that remains at the end wins. It's a small Idea, but I'll probably make something bigger from that later on.

That doesn't sound that bad, and it's original, I think.

But you're forgetting the most important part, a catchy name. Sex sells

I was thinking about calling Quadra Pong, or maybe Polygonal Pong if I decide to make it work with more than 4 players. I think the maximum amount of players would have to be around 8, which would then make an octagonal platform.

Octapong doesn't sound that bad.

But if you really want to rake in teh buxxXXXxx, you need to start it off with four.
Then, in the expansion pack, have it 5, next one 6, etc, up until no one buys them.

I think you just have Quadra Pong as the first one, then you just have a sequel be Octa Pong. Sequels to great games always sell, and if Quadra Pong is good enough, Octa Pong will sell. Expansion packs to crappy games don't sell, so if Quadra sucked, expansion packs and/or sequels wouldn't sell.

EDIT: An idea I have, and I'm not sure if it's been used before, would be a game where you are the owner of a baseball franchise... now, I know this idea has been used to an extent, but my idea is that you expand on it and have every part of the baseball franchise included... you have the ENTIRE farm system and all their teams with their seasons, and you call up the players on your own. You draft players, put them in your farm system... all that stuff... only thing I can think of for why this wouldn't sell is because actually playing baseball games wouldn't be a realistic feature. But you could build up franchises from scratch, almost, and it would be taking fantasy baseball to a new level... you could have real life players or not, it all depends on what you wanted... and then there would probably be leagues for this. I think it could work.

EDIT2: Roundtable Chess...

Man it must have been fun watching the Brits get their asses kicked by a bunch of naked guys with spears. At any rate, my game ideas:

A very gritty futuristic war on an alien planet. It would involve two fractions, humans and what ever aliens were allied to them and then the enemy (which I still have to think up). It would be a first person shooter set in sort of a cross between trench warfare and jungle combat. The enemies would be far more dangerous up close than far away (my idea is that they are so deadly close up that the way you have to fight them is with weapons at medium range to long range). Also there would be a lot of artillery bombardment, poison gas grenades, and some other things like something I call an auto-sniper which is a robotic sniper gun that is set up and activated like a mine to snipe enemies when there is no one around to manually snipe targets. Think Medal of Honor in space.

Something I call Nightmare Helicopter. You remember Army Men? The game where you play as those little green army men? Well in this one the game world is a suburban house and the surrounding area. You play as a model helicopter that flies around and attacks those little army men and other models. Except the helicopter itself is alive. To gain health you have to eat the army men, in this principle the chopper acts like a dragonfly snatching enemies (if they are small enough) off the ground and eating them. Naturally enough everything else in the house is alive too so if you get too damaged to fly you might want to land high up as the Hot-Wheels type car toys on the ground are looking for a meal too. There would be other helicopters too, all dangerous. Of course I wouldn

RPGs are, in my experience, the hardest game to mkae other than a real time strategy game.

I agree with you on that one.

My idea for a game is a MMORPG that takes place in the Old West during the late 1800s. You can go mining, shooting some animals for food or raw materials to make clothes and trinkets, or just get together with some other rascals and go rob a stagecoach or go to the saloon for a drink and good talk. I would have the option to hunt Indians, but I don't think I could because it could be construed as racist, so I thought the Indians could be a playable race. One of the servers could be a 'Cowboys Vs. Indians' one like the race war servers on Everquest.

a few years ago i took the doom engine and modified a few enemies and the HUD, as well as alot of new levels. it was pretty much just a new scenario, but it was fun to make, it had you playing as the original character, but this time insted of going into hell, you went into space, cause you found out that the monsters from hell, were actualy put thier many years ago by some bad a$$ed aliens, and mr doom wants revenge.

I remember messing around with games like Doom a few years ago, but I never really did anything good.

Instead of making a game from the Doom engine, why not make an engine from scratch for a matrix game? I guess that's a little harder though...

I have masses of ideas for RPGs, like when attempting to try to use ideas in a new battle system; alternate ways to learn new skills, like in battle only (SaGa series), making TP potions unus(e)able in battle, creating enemies which change tactics as more HP you take off them, or chaning their tactics after they scanned you and found your weaknesses etc. pp
But when I'm opening the RM2k or RM2k3, I'm sitting, entering event by event, a bug occurs and I'm angry. The last time I had some nasty bugs I couldn't remove ...
A Change Variable command was not executed, days later the database of my game was broken, its size was 0 KB, although I never made major mistakes like copying instead of importing all files into the project

It would be a little hard. All you really have to have is an FPS-style engine with none of the bugs fixed, except for ones that would crash the game.

4 dimensional wars.

You take a basic concept, add an extra layer of management, time. The calculations base itself on contradiction or success. If you do things properly and don't cause a contridiction, the effect will succeed. If you cause a contridiction, like getting your troops to attack after seeing the enemy forces attacking your base, assuming that he doesn't have much, go back in time and move your troops. When you get to real time, if the troops reach that point, and intersect with current matter, it would cause a contridiction, cancelling out effects that occured and thus weakening yourself.

I've mentioned this in a couple of places, but I'm eventually going to attempt a text-based RPG wherein you're an Angel of God, and your basic goal is to go into Hell and destroy Satan. In other words, the opposite of the "Kill God BUT IT'S NOT REALLY GOD IT'S A SYMBOL!!!!" motif Square has used in every game they've made for the past seven years.
