I don't remember anything saying you have to vote for either of these two dumb asses. You do know there's write in space, don't you?

"But my vote is wasted if I don't vote for either of these two guys."

That attitude is the reason why the current system is still in place. Vote for who you want to vote for, not two jackass clowns. Otherwise, the system will never change....

Actually, Lenophis, as long as America continiues using the Single-Member District Plurality Voting System, the only two realistic choices will be the Democratic and Republican nominees. Duverger's Law states this. Using a write-in vote to vote for someone else, and encouraging other people to do this, will not change the system (the best you can do is substitute one party with another, for example kick out the Democrats and enter the Greens. However, according to Duverger's Law, the SMDP Voting System ensures two-party states) (and, yes, I know there are exceptions to this law, but they are few and far in between). If you want to be able to cast a realistic vote for someone else than the Democratic or Republican nominee, you have to change the entire way the system of votes are counted.

As for the debate, I had my alarm clock set to 3am, woke up, tried to get up from bed and turn on the TV, but fell asleep again, so I didn't get to see it. God damn timezones.

Anywheren I can see this online?

And about the IRC thing, banning Drag seems like a joke gone too far. And about the Acmlm "community"; IRC: 80%, Board: 20%. If you're not on IRC, you are missing out

Eh, I would say it depends more on the day.

...right banning Drag for supporting Bush. Whatever if that was a joke or not it was too far... a kick would be enough.

Did bush talk at all? I hadn't seen the debate (thought a small video clip from the debate is loading on my computer), and I couldn't get up in the middle of the night.

If the world, or heck even just Sweden would decide. Kerry would win and Bush would fail... majorly. The rest of the world hates bush. (like in a voting done on aftonbladet.se, the Swedish readers could vote. Kerry was leading with 80%, and bush with just 10%...)

I obviously did not see the debate, but the general consensus seems to be either a Kerry win or a stalemate. Either way, that's very good for Kerry. Without 9/11 and terorrism and Iraq, Bush is basically nothing - he seems to constantly draw back to these things. If Kerry managed to hold his own on national security he's probably going to gain the ascendency from here on in. Bush hasn't been exposed so freely in public that much - scripted press conferences, weak reporters, staged meetings etc, and now that he didn't manage to decisively win in the one area he's actually strong in, I should expect him crumble over the rest of these things. What are the other topics?

Actually, even Fox, an obvious pro-Bush/Republican network, admitted that Kerry had won the debate. Only extreme Bush supporters would believe Bush won this debate. Bush skirted the issues, repeated his arguments (Kerry is a flip flopper), recited scriptures, stuttered, had long pauses and had poor body language. Strictly from a debate stand point: Bush lost horribly.

Yeah, that's what I meant - the topics for the other debates. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

And god, I get so annoyed at this. Come on, I learnt this in school when we had debates not to repeat the same argument.

Now, I think Kerry converted alot of people yesterday. Still is that enough for a win?

If I could I would vote Bush. Main reason... Against Abortions...

Haha, I had to watch it in Government class yesterday. Bushes body language, pauses, and stutters was amusing . It was funny how they would try to avoid the question or digress from the topic. I didn't notice it before..well it was the first debate I watched so excuse me if that happens a lot . Kerry clearly won. I saw most of it..the TV was having issues and the audio on the tape started going lower and lower .

Doesn't really matter, if Korea (Or anyone, really) launches we're probably fucked anyways.

Although I doubt Korea has the missile technology to shoot much further than California, so we might have a chance at surviving. I wouldn't particularly mind if they the home of scientology and humanist psychology.

Bush! Becuse I rather would rather see Bush bombed than Kerry.

...ok that was a stupid joke. ~_~

But actually, Bush is trying to insist people all the time that he can defend the country better than kerry. But for being honest I have problems seeing how he could be better than Kerry.
