For me the most annoying was Cool Cool Mountain. Stupid snowmans head would always roll off the side. Took me forever to figure out how to get it onto its body.

That's definetely the worst star (in fact I'm still not sure how to do it, I got lucky), but the worst course is that red coin level in the clouds. Ugh.
The last Bowser was also pretty annoying. There was just no way to get anywhere near the bombs close enough to hit them after he destroyed most of the platform. The level itself wasn't bad though. (I was hoping for something that would require you to use every move, but whatever.)

Well...yes. That whole deal with the outdoor slide in Cool Cool Mountain was annoying. And the last Bowser...well...getting him near the bombs isn't really the main problem there. The problem is that it's very hard to throw him accurately enough to hit those bombs.

Well...I do use timing when throwing him, but it's still very hard because of the precision required...

Speaking of "far away"...I've noticed that there's a blockier version of Mario that is used to render him if he is far enough away from the camera.

Basically most of the levels on the 3rd Floor of the castle were pretty annoying, all of the ones that took place in the sky.

There are no exceptions here; I ALWAYS hated Dire Dire docks, and I still hate it. Everytime I tried to get the stupid 100 coins, I always went sucked by the d**n black hole I still got all the 120 stars at the end though...

How can anyone not find wet-dry world hard!?!?! I didn't realize until about three weeks on getting to the level that where ever you landed in the painting, the water level goes up and down!

Yes, that course is a bit awkward...and sometimes I could've sworn it looked like the whole course was moving up and down while the water stays still. I don't know why the camera makes it look that way.
