Well, this isn't really a bug, but I noticed this at my AcmlmBoard. After posting a new reply, you should normally be taken automatically to the latest post, but this isn't happening (at least not with me). This is because the < Just move that tag inside the td tag. Has this not been noticed all this time ??? |

Uh, I think he means on his own AcmlmBoard, not on this board. Why he didn't post this in AcmlmBoard Programming, I don't know. | |||

Mercury, if this only applies to your board, and you found the problem, why are you pointing this out? | |||

Nope, this isn't on my board (I fixed it there ). When I reply, it just takes me to the top of the thread, not the latest post. But if this isn't the case with anyone else, this topic can be closed I guess . Btw, I use Firefox. Firefox uses XHTML, right? Maybe most of you guys use IE, and as we all know IE has other standards . (edited by Mercury on 07-08-04 07:47 AM) |

I am now testing to see if that is the case for me. Same for me, I get taken to the top of the thread instead of to my post. How come I've never noticed this before? (edited by max on 07-08-04 07:48 AM) |

Yeah, strange indeed . In fact, I didn't notice it at my board, but one of the members, and I've been using AcmlmBoard for a couple of years now . But it's easy to fix as I pointed out in my first post. |

Testing with Mozilla, will edit the results into this post in a moment... Edit: Mozilla doesn't automatically scroll down either. Not really a big deal though... is it really that difficult to hit the [End] button to scroll down to the bottom of the page (where the reply will be anyway)? Originally posted by NightHawk It's not a big deal indeed, but choosing between it doing it automatically or not, I'd rather have it do it for me... But yeah it's a minor thing. I'm still going to fix on my board, though. Cheers Mercury. Edit: Although it worked just fine for me, when I posted this reply. I'm still going to fix it on my board if it's going to work for more people in the end... (edited by Stifu on 07-08-04 09:20 AM) |

Originally posted by NightHawk Of course it doesn't, the code isn't a standard. And why does IE scroll down? Because IE is full of bugs itself (hello! it's Microsoft!), and it doesn't follow standards. So I don't really get why you link to IE6 Yoghurt Duck, this isn't the fault of the browser . |

Mercury, I tried fixing the bug but was confused when I looked at the file... The file being newreply.php... Right ? Could you give more details about where the change needs to be done ? |

I've noticed it in Firefox. It's the main reason (That and no built-in FTP client plus no way to save images) why I switched back to IE. | |||

Well, you have to do this with all postlayouts, there are about 6. Example for postlayout 3: if($postlayout==3){ $postdate=date("m-d-y h:i A",$post[date]+$tzoff); $poststext="Posts: "; $postnum="$post[num]/"; $posttotal=$user[posts]; $postlist=" < < $smallfont Posts: $postnum$posttotal< $tcellbg width=80%>< $tcellbg height=60>$fonttag$post[headtext]$post[text]$post[signtext]< "; } As you can see, the "a name" tag (red) should be inside the TD tag (green). |
