Hey im confused i keep trying to learn C++ using visual studio and when i use the premade window no tutorials will compile without me having to look up what every variable means
what do you do when you want to write a c++ program when you use Visual Studio O_o im really trying hard to learn c++ and its killlllllling me

first of all...learning to build programs that look like windows is a too big of jump...right now, that is something you don't need to worry about if you just want to learn the language itself.

as far as C++ tutorials out there, i believe you are better off finding a book that will teach you C++ as they are geared towards people with no experience and are better written since the people making the tutorials have had feed back on their book. in my experience, online C++ tutorials are as good as a Ford Pinto...

I hate visual studio. Personally, I would suggest a commandline-driven compiler. There are many available, most are based on GCC.
Second, neotransotaku has the right idea: Start small. Build simple console programs first. Win32 is just an extensione to the C language. You will be able to interact with your Win32 User Interface using functions and pointers and whatnot. But first, you need to learn about functions and pointers, etc etc.

Theres nothing wrong with Visual Studio, its perfect, for me anyway.
