if this was the last one...make more dynamic battle scenes in which the background depends on where the characters are, and more of an action RPG where pressing a button is not enough...you actually have to connect and manually move to get out of the way...but that second one might no longer make it an RPG?

Giving the female lead as much action time as the male one, such as letting her control/lead the party inparts of the story. Combine all the good elements of their previous experiences into one, hopefully making the game somewhat of a challenge. Not include useless characters. I rather have less characters to choose from, but with a deeper background in the storyline, than the oposite. I do like the fact that the female |

I want in=depth characterisation, a side quest for every character involving their story, a straight foward battle system, and no more freakin' beaches FFX seemed to have far to much beach in it. It looked far too happy and optimistic, too (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 03-15-04 04:38 PM) |

Make it harder. Final Fantasy VII and up and have been getting easier and easier. I'd like a challenge put back into the game, like in FFVI and below. Other then that, nothing really. |

The latest screens on FF12 have kickass Battle GUI. Hopefully more on the game will be concentrated on, I thought FFX's story was top notch, but it felt too easy since you were guided. I want FULL world map roaming, FF9 was good for that.

Other then that, nothing really. Totally agreed. Unlike in FFVI, FFVII, FFIX, FFX, I'd actually like to die sometimes. And I also agree to Kwan, I want an open ended adventure, not linear. Like FFVI when you reach the world of Ruin, your basically on your own after that. FFIX had good exploration too. (edited by Xeogred on 03-15-04 05:00 PM) |

Id like Realtime battle... I mean REAL TIME. You are walking along and a monster pops out, you battle RIGHT THERE! Not some... pre-determined background. Oh, and MORE CHARACTER DEPTH, and the return of summons |

Oh, and MORE CHARACTER DEPTH, and the return of summons That would kind of ruin the feel of a "Final Fantasy" game though, since all of the FF games titled with numbers aren't real time battling. |

Less playable chars, so you can get to know them more and understand why they are on the said quest and a deep storyline.

all you guys pretty much have the same idea, and i agree with you completly, the final fantasy series has been getting les and less exciting, what we need is a kinda mixed version of all final fantasys put together, i think that would be a pretty neat idea...but then again it might get boring as well, o well just a thought

I'd use more worldmaps like in ff5 and make the game last for over 300 hours. Also with loads of sidequests and different stuff to do, snowboard, blitzball etc..

No online connectivity, or that silly (silly as in terrible) playOnline crap. I want to play a role playing game at home, on my home console, without worrying about downloading anything, or chatting with other players, or getting the latest hints, only available online. Gah. Less concentration on love interests. Must every plot involve the love between the characters? I'd like to see a really good buddy game, great friends, no long drawn out romances or love triangles. OVERUSED. (edited by Chickenlump on 03-19-04 08:55 PM) |

WORLD MAP! I mean, come on, it allows for a much bigger world. Also, NOT SO FRICKING LINEAR! The main problem with FFX is that it seems to linear ad forces you to do things in a certain order with virtually no hidden side quests. It was like playing FFMQ again. SIDE QUESTS! Give me fricking side quests!

They add in the love factor as a sort of cheat in terms of character development. Give them a love interest, you've instantly made them multi-dimensional. |
