Hi, I was wondering where the coin sprite is, and
How to change it so it can flip the sprite like the
Super Mario 1 and 3 coins!

Well, If your talking about editing the gfx, use TLP, its all the way at the bottom. There is also a coin animation near the top that is for when the enemies are turned to coins...

1. Sprites and Graphics are two completely different things. 2. The SMB1 coin doesn't flip, it is animated by palette animation. 3. What do you mean by "not background"? 4. Are you talking about the object coin or the sprite coin?

Peter, sometimes layer 1 - 4 are considered background layers, and the sprites layer the... sprites layer. As for animating the sprite's colours, set an ExAnimated palette entry to $x8, where x is hte yellow sprite palette row.

(1) Smb1's coins flip horizontal, you will understand that:

Pretend a coin is a sm1 coin:

O 0 | *0

*This is flipped horizontally

(2) But a smw coin does not:

O **0 | **0

**: These are in the same position!

if you understand, then tell me!

Why don't you just rip the graphics from SMB1 (or 3) and overwrite the graphics in SMW? In SMW, it may only use 3 different animations (I thought it used 4, but meh), but there are spaces for 4 animations. 4 DIFFERENT animations. So it is a really easy task. Simple graphics editing.

I don't think anyone understands what he's talking about.

The coins in SMW use only three different graphics for their animation. Two of the frames use the exact same tiles. SMB, on the other hand, used FOUR graphics:

SMB coin

SMW coin

I believe he wants to change that duplicate frame to something unique, so he can have an SMB-style coin. Unfortunately, this requires more than just graphics editing.

If I have time, I'll try and track down the tile mappings for the sprite...
