If you're banned, it says:

"Couldn't enter the post. Either you didn't enter an existing username, or you haven't entered the right password for the username, or you haven't entered a subject, or you are trying to post too fast or you have unread system messages.
Click here to return to the forum, or wait to get redirected."

We need actual customized messages for WHY you can't post. Notice it doesn't say "You have been banned from this forum." in that list. I'm pretty sure being banned was listed in there before. I am counting this as a bug because it USED to say banned in that akwardly-worded list.

Yeah, that big long message takes too long to read given that it redirects (used to anyway) after a second. It'd be nice if it actually told you what the problem was.

For forum bans it could just say "You are not allowed to post in this forum"; that way we could use the same message for things like trying to post in Trash Can.

[edit] If you post/edit in the tracker, it takes you back to page 1 no matter what page you were on.

[edit 2] If you select an icon for a thread, then preview the thread, the preview shows the icon you selected but then the 'thread icon' option will be set back to None.

[edit 3] Loading status.php counts as a page view, which increases the view count every time you load the image and shows you in status.php in online.php.

You guys should check out the Entertainment forum. You wonder why?

That´s why. And it happens every time I enter.

I don´t know if this is a bug or theme problem, though.

Edit: What the hell is happening?

Edit 2: Wtf? It´s normal again. That stretch appeared in this thread when I posted my reply.

Aha, I knew something odd was going on with the cookies. Every time I go to post, I see a big long password in the password box, then when the page is done loading, Firefox\'s password manager replaces it with my real password. I thought I was just seeing things, but since this page took unusually long to load, I could clearly see I was right. In your case, it looks like the entire post and reply form got stuck in the password box. I think mine is just putting garbage in it, or the encrypted password or some such.
Also, rofl @ your links.

Another problem I found: Numgfx seems to be failing at random.

Other GDI-generated images work, but most numgfx images won\'t show up. (I suspect that one only appears because it\'s cached.) [EDIT] It's working again.

I think there was something else too, but I can\'t recall what...

I know alot of things are weird right now. The new server runs a different version of apache and a different version of php and a different version of mysql all with a shitton of stupid modules that we don't need. The apostraphe ' vs \' issue should be fixed. We're still working on the rest.

Edit: The password bug should be fixed now too. There was a variable-related option in php.ini that should have been on, but was off.

I dunno if this is a bug or what, but I was looking at some old threads and... What happened to this post? I remember posting that, and there was a hell of a lot more content (an image, for one; you can see how people have commented on it). The post has no 'edited by x' record, and it's not commented; it's totally gone.

[edit] This may be another instance. Can't say for sure, because the post was edited several times.

In the User Comments, in the Disciplinary Tracker, the last post date is always "12-31-69" (Unix Time "0" I believe?)

Just look at what happened to my first post in this thread. Maybe it has something to do with the last time the board was hacked?

Edit: Okay, this problem is worse then I first thought; I just looked through my older posts to try and find something, and realized that almost all of my posts are cut-off, or deleted completely. Also, page 13 (on 20 posts per page) was really messed-up (probably because some tables didn’t get closed or something), and page 12 actually caused the browser to freeze!

We can sum up all the bugs like so: AcmlmBoard v1.B0.

If they hadn't rushed to meet a deadline nobody cares about, then most of these bugs wouldn't be here. When Acmlm's not impressed with what you've done to his board, it's time to re-think your plans.

I'm seeing a pattern to the disappearing text... Here's 3 instances: 1 2 3

Notice that in all 3, the text disappears right where a non-ASCII character would have been. Come to think of it, that's what was in my other post too (the one about fonts)... it cuts off right where I started listing extended characters. In fact, looking at the context of these posts it may even just be character 233 (an accented 'e' like in 'Pokemon') Let's see if it still happens? °é° Nope...

I don’t use é very often, but I do use mirrored quotes and ellipsis often, so I think you were closer when you said any non-ASCII character does it.

if I put a form in my layout (such as the one I have now that causes anyone to click that link rate me a 10), it won't let me edit my layout anymore, the button won't work, it won't even work if I go to another board, save my edit layout page, change the editlayout.php to http://board.acmlm.org/editlayout.php, click edit layout, and look at my profile.

(testing to see if I can edit a post with the form)
yep, editpost.php does work with it

Have you tried this:

1. Save a copy of the Edit Layout page from this site.

2. Open the saved page in Notepad, or a similar app, and remove the offending form from the textarea.

3. Fix the action URL as above.

4. Save the edited page and load it with a web browser.

5. Edit your layout.

Using a saved Edit Layout page from another site will not work, unless you have the same password at both sites, because the page has authantication information in a hidden field.
