Somehow I think I want this game.

EDIT: Urk, Prize for the Reckless.

I don't like this level.

EDIT2: Nevermind, 17/20 trinkets on the beta.

EDIT3:

VVVVVVictory!

Please start cropping your images.

All that white space is starting to get annoying.

Also, the relative angle of Red and Green faceplanting compared to the angle of the ground seems a bit off.

Could just be me though.

and after whatshisface (...starts with a J?) accidentally nuked half of the users I ended up leaving for a while.
J... Jasp?

Jasp was ever anything more than a normal user?

Wasn't it Jesper who tripped on the database?

I wasn't around when it happened, but I read a bit of the board's history...

Your terrain looks neat, but that giant Blurp seems to be lacking shading in places.

Though the big areas of the sandy stuff seem a bit too busy. What's it look like if you lighten up the wavy lines a bit?

Well, why should all the SMW (or other SNES games for that matter) screenshots be as tiny as a DS screen?
<img src="..." width="2x as much pixels as the original" />

<img src="..." width="200%" height="200%" />

cough

Also, I don't get it. What the hell is this thread for?\

Dodongos?
Pols Voice gets no love.
Eh personally I'd give it to the Octoroks...
Pfft. You don't see Pols Voice anywhere anymore! Unlike Octoroks!
Very true, you would have expected to see Pols Voice return in the DS games since there IS a mic for you to make loud noises into, unlike the NES where they removed the mic when they Americanized the Famicom.

And yet monsters with similar dislike of loud noises and said usage of microphone to scare them showed up in Phantom Hourglass...?

No, it's when you spend enough time in any of the four rooms, at least from my experimentation with it.

The twentieth trinket?

Spoiler:
It's from the crewmember that resides in the trinket room, once you talk to him and have three or four crewmembers rescued. I forget the name and where s/he's rescued, but it's not the guy in the tower and it's not the guy in the level that's yellow on the map. I think it's the guy in the level that introduces the flip lines (grrrrr Purest Unobtanium).

The guy also tells you where the other trinkets are located.

Rumor has it someone else will give you the 20th trinket if you rescue that guy last though.

At least that's how it is in the beta. Don't have the full version so I don't know. D:

See, this is why you complete the Tower first.

It's got the two most easily missable trinkets in the game - particularly if you complete the Tower last. This of course excludes... err... the trinket you get from one of the guys you rescue. Seriously I forget his/her name. (But if you rescue that guy last in the chain, one of the other guys will give you said trinket if you talk to them before rescuing the last crewmembet.)

Prize for the Reckless was easy once you figured out what you needed to do:

Spoiler:
Die in the top half of the room... while the checkpoint in the BOTTOM half of the room is active!

Oh and I figured out the secret to Dial M for Murder.

Besides, there are barely any good DS emulators yet.

no$gba works just fine for me, for most of the games I've tried to emulate.

It still doesn't do M&L3 though. :<

why the fuck does this thread say "new" even if I'm the last one to post in it

I'm going to go out on a limb and say... "who gives a fuck, do whatever you want with it".

Also it's really not that hard to create a layout that will cycle through several different styles based on how many three-hour periods have passed since, for instance, the Unix epoch. Just, try to keep them similar, because too many wildly varying layouts and every three hours someone's going "what the fuck? who posted this... oh."

Last I checked, wasn't "ASM hacks" basically the definition of the original Super Mario World?

Or am I exaggerating on someone's exaggeration.

Here's an even better question: why does this thread still live?

You'd think "no, we're not your slaves, do it yourself" would be enough.
