I was just hoping some program or web app would do it for me. I'm not good at centering

I agree with black on this, chao go download a free trial of corel painshop pro or gimp.
Most image editors have a ruler measurer and line guide.
If you haven't download windows movie maker live.
When you have your warning screen ready, multiply that image for how many seconds you want it to display.
Hell, you could put some alarm sound in mp3.
Next you insert your movie into it and edit accordingly.

If you want cool free looking theater fonts check bing and google for some.

Later.

Yeah, the only problem is that currently gimp only works when I run it as a superuser. Otherwise it gets mad at me.

So you use ubuntu right, I looked into wine the past few days and you might be to benefit from it.

If you can get this to work on your os, I'll forward over my corel paint shop pro x2 key to you with direct download link.

I actually have Windows 7. Ubuntu's running under a hypervisor. Gimp does not have an official installer for Windows.

If thats the casem I'll assume you maybe running virtualbox or virtual machine to run your linux distro right ?

http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4900067&cid=catalog20038&segid=10700005#tab5

I checked my paint shop pro x2 and I remembered it doesn't work after ms released sp1 for windows 7.

If I were you I would use windows to use my main applications to do my work such as photo/paint suite.

Just a heads up if unbuntu is giving you any more grief look into linux mint or arch. :/

first, here is a link to my hack

I'll probably be good to finish all in my rom by myself except 2 thinks...

one of them is that I would need to load a line of tile in the ppu one shot in a MM4 hack...

someone knows how to do it? I think it has to do with chr rom, but I would only need one for every weapon. for all the other graphics, I don't care...

you can also give me your opinion about the hack

Its a good hack, but you really have alot of issues to work out.

1.work on a better management weapon system.
2.Take out the rush jet and the metal blade from the beginning level.
3.the weapons menu, if I press select on the menu by accident my rom and emulator crashes.
4.work on spacing out enemie locations, limit black megaman to 1 in the level.
If it dies it should not be able to respawn again, otherwise I and many others will abuse it for reganining health too easily.

There are some other things I noticed in your rom but I'll keep that to myself.
Other than that its a nice starter, one request make rush's armor blue, it would like nice for a change.

Heh, so you decided to pickup your hack and continue working on it ? :/
Looks alright man, I'll test this on my 3ds and record a quick clip at work today
and do a review.

No, they're unfinished. And all they've been doing is sitting on my hard drive, so I thought I'd just release them. I doubt I'd pick these up again. There are a few things wrong with these hacks but that's what you get with unfinished stuff. Use Save States!

Hmm, even though I am a new beginner to nes hacking, may i atleast look inside your rom and make some SMALL adjustments ?
One of your hacks title screen is so garbaged badly I was disappointed to see that happen upon bootup.
I know where to get the truck tiles and I'll resemble it if the gfx placment isn't too out of whack.
The map screen itself is really not wanting me to play this again after getting a game over.

I expected better from you though, even if your hack is jacked up too badly.
If its fixable somebody or a small group of people might fix it.

If you opensource it to us we can see what maybe fixable or not. :|
~Choice is up to you~

Later Recon.

The tools I used to make these are no longer being developed.

Which tools did you use while working on this ?
It "would be helpf" for me to know when I am sifiting through the rom and seing what may be undone or not.
Some of the stuff I've seen so far looks damaged and permanent however there are things that can be adjusted.

Thanks in advance

Don't you essentially make your own with Reuben?

KP did make use reuban, I read one of his old post from jul this morning.
From what I understand dahrk was in development of a newer version reuben and something was side tracking him.
Since dahrk never got back with kp about it, I guess kp said fuck it and put it on hold uptil now which was 2 years ago. :/

http://jul.rustedlogic.net/thread.php?id=9870

Also I have been playing kps hack it is good and he has some nifty features you'll like.
You could kind of say its like the prequel to mario adventure 3 demo.

Now I wanna know where JaSp's music inserter is located. I've been wanting to make an 8-bit version of the Red Comet music from SMG, but I don't have the adequate knowledge of musical staffs nor the motivation to do so. The piano solo of this song isn't as hectic as the song as a whole...

Christmas comes early, well for you it does. :/
http://acmlm.kafuka.org:81/board///thread.php?id=5813&page=1

Here you go read the whole thread carefully, if you need help seek kp on irc.
I have no knowledge of hacking nes music, so your on your own not unloess someone else helps you.

Good luck.

On this, there's an ability to make an NFS with FamiTracker

Go download famitracker and read the tutorials, if you dont mind working with midis this should be natural for you.

http://famitracker.com/downloads.php

http://famitracker.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

Now with the last link I gave you I reckon you have enough brain power to combine all this information together and make your own tunes.

Thank you very much Celice! :-)

@Chaobomr, im not sure.

I dont know much about mmc5 cartridges, but for those that want to inject the rom into an mmc5, it'll need to be able to do the following...

I forget the name of the company I was communicating with, but the guy said if my work didnt use the mmc5 special features such as the additional sound channels, and any form of EX features, he could put it on a cartridge.

If you really don't mind, let me test whatever stable beta you have.
I need to see if it might run on nesds 1.3a or not.

Good lord? Really?

I don't have a 3DS but my sister does! I would like to play SMB Extended with it.

nesds 1.3a should be able to play it fine, but if its a japanese rom hack you might have a problem or 2 with it.
Check the rom compatibility page and see if it will work.
I'll look into testing tomorrow evening and see whats doable or not.
Passing you a link via through pm, take care man.

That mapper 4 sounds like it came from mega man 4.
The first level music spilled it, brightman had that tune.
Good work though if googie sees this he might slap himself silly with joy.

Let me ask you something your hack, and the way you have it...
Are you aiming to make this into gameboy based hack or snes/gba ?
Reason why I ask you, you werent really clear of what you wanted to zelda hack based about.

The normal for zelda dungeons is 8 including a final fortress one.
If I were you, leave that dungeon system alone or improve it without going to extreme.

I like somethings you've done so far, but somethings don't need a total overhaul.
Not unless the game itself is messed up to a certain degree.

Have you tried looking at how the oracle ages dungeon system ?
By the looks of it you could pull that off in your hack and that game was only 700kb ?

Yeah, I have another problem. See, I managed to get a video onto my computer, but when I try to edit it, it's quiet. No sound. What's the problem? It works fine when I merely play it, but not when I try to edit it.

What are you using ? if you mean fceux record it again and use xvid-mp4 encoder.
http://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm

If its any other emulator check the settings for it and make sure the sound is enabled to record in it.
Heres in example of the avi xvid-mpg4 recorded video I did a few weeks ago.

Iframe is your main problem here, I don't know what type of html black used to code the forum with, but it won't support it.
But this might work too use the tag to get it to jump start in html or strict xhtml websites.
You might want to seek help from of the admins to see if they could jump start it.
Note to staff, please use the edit feature to view my reply and cope the code from it and see if this is doable or not.
