It's not one of the best banners I've seen, but it's not that shitty either. It looks like the same kind of work I used to do when I first got my hands on photoshop.

I'd make the height a little smaller (Like, half, actually) and remove all the marios except the big one, and move the big one to the right more.

Anyway, I'd go with KP on this one too - more than one Mario is sort of distracting and it gives the banner a bit of a scatter-brained feel.
