I want to know your opinion about what was your favourite SNES videogame ever. You can say any SNES game, I'd be happy if you told why you think its your fav.

I'm terrible at picking just ONE favorite:

Platformer: Donkey Kong Country 2
RPG: Seiken Densetsu 3
Puzzle: Panel De Pon (though it's hard to put down Kirby no Kira Kira Kids... then again the Gameboy one is the only one I own in real life so...)
Racing: I guess Mario Kart has been played more, but I did enjoy F-Zero
Shooter: Paridious

Honorable mentions: Super Metroid (dunno what category that fits into) Megaman (all but the soccer one)
Yoshi's Island
some Tenchi Muyo game says Tenchi Muyou! Game Hen
Kirby Super Star and Kirby's Dreamland 3
Sailor Moon Another Story
All the Mario games deserve a mention...

I can't make a clear decision between Terranigma and Secret of Mana, though I'm leaning towards the former because I have a natural bias towards SoM as the first RPG (and overall second video game) I ever played.

Honorable mentions, in no particular order, would go out to Yoshi's Island, SMRPG, Super Metroid, SD3, Chrono Trigger and Lufia 2.

I also get a feeling that we had a lot of these threads before... but whatever, it can't hurt...

Well I dunno, does SMAS count as a single game? It's got SMB3 (fav), SMB1/2J... shiny.

Super Metroid, hands down. I also like Super Mario RPG too. I can't choose between the two.

It most certainly is not.
But to answer your question, probably Earthbound. Mega Man X was pretty darn good too.

Hmm yeah I forgot about Super Metroid... but still I think I'll go with SMAS (SMB3). There's a reason I want DahrkDaiz's editor to support it.

1. Ya I got carried away about the Yoshi's Island thing.

2. Earthbound was a NES game right.

If it was an NES game he wouldn't have mentioned it. He's holding the cart with him right now, too.

I grew up with an NES, but was never able to get my hands on an SNES , so I mostly just play the really mainstream stuff now. I'd have to go with either SMAS, or SMRPG.

Super Mario World, as far as nostalgia and importance, but Donkey Kong Country 2 as far as greatness goes.

Super metroid. The one and only.

...It's just that good, IMO.

I'm surprised just how many people here give their votes to platformers while totally ignoring all the brilliant RPGs there were.

RPGs and the closely related action adventures are the pride and glory of the SNES platform.

Well, to shut blackhole up, my favourite was most likely Tales of Phantasia. I have a lot of games for the SNES I really liked, such as the parodius series, Super Mario Kart, Front Misson and SMRPG (although I did find the story pretty dull, the boss battles were rather challenging, especially Culex since I was underleveled by about 10 levels that were recommended)

That said, I don't really have a favourite game, but just a game that I enjoyed more than the others. Theres a lot of games I liked, but eh, I couldn't choose which one
