I don't think the danger of delete post is that great... I mean, if someone deletes their rule-breaking post, it saves the staff the trouble of doing it for them

Make them able to delete posts like once every 3-4 days if it becomes a huge problem.

I had some hidden "staff" features on my way old board that I had, that were optional for the staff. I want to get back into programming my admin panel. But I don't know what version to base it off of.

I think we need the Edit button, but save the delete button for staff use only.

Amen!! I can't remember any time the delete button was used for a worthwhile purpose.

Well of course we need the edit button. I mean, I hate not being able to change my post, or at least delete it if worst comes to worst. But I agree with Stifu for the delete post. A lot of times, I'd delete my post, then what the person said after me would make little or no sense

I wouldn't even make it available for staff.

When there was anything bad within a post that was unsuitable for the board, I just edited it away instead of deleting the post.

Who was it that said they were working on a form of post deletion that would set a "deleted" or "hidden" flag, and if said flag was set, the post would be hidden to the public, but not to staff?

I'm thinking it was ||bass, but I can't remember perfectly. But if you ever reimpliment post deletion, that method would be better for preventing vandals from getting away with stuff, while keeping offensive things out of the public eye.

Of course, you should do things in whatever order you please

The worst part about post deletion is that noobs would often delete the first post of a thread thinking that would delete the whole thread.

But it would be possible to make it so deleting the first post deletes the whole thread, this time.

I remember that happened a lot back in the early days, but I don't recall that happening any time recently.

User-selectable date/time format, go. (editprofile.php)

Taking suggestions for more preset formats now; if it is required, I can add a "custom" option too.

Mostly because the Delete link didn't show up (and didn't work) for the first post in a thread.

How about being able to mark the News as "read"?

It just appears when needed and goes away when not.

It'll become the Bombliss Tourney Listings later, when they're done.

Can we bring back the -2 powerlevel, but this time, rename it "Exiled"?

Isn't it called permaban, or IP ban?

That´d be permaban. Regular ban is -1, Regular member is 0, local mod is 1 and so on.

I think it´s like that, at least.

It was called "Permabanned", but I think the name "Exiled" sounds cooler xd

Especially since permabans were rarely permanent. Remember Legion?

I had missed that post, nice... Although the hour format syntax may confuse non-coders. It may be good to add a little text/description or link, explaining what you can do, such as changing the lowercase h to an uppercase one to switch to a 24h format.
