I was using the 8x8 tile editor in LM to make some minor changes to my graphics. Works fine on that. However, trying to insert them gives a default address of 656874. That's way too high, since this ROM is only 2MB. LM won't let me do it of course. Is 40200 a safe number? It suggests that in the help file and another ROM of mine gives that as it's default. I know my latest game file has garbage data in the Map16, which was due to a bug in certain LM versions. I'm just trying to avoid corrupting the hack.

Don't fuss at my work rate. Over 4 years, and I still am building the World 3 levels. Slow makes perfect though in this field. Expect screens soon, I've began taking new ones.

That 40200 address worked. Just like the manual said to. It's not much, but I'll include one new screen. I've done away with those few pink levels, and removed mention of the uselss fictional "amy". This hack will continue to be freely editable by LM. There's a lot of concept levels which are neat looking, but aren't yet seen in normal gameplay.

Hint: See where the coins lead? They have to go directly right, don't press down or they'll stop in lava. Be sure to break any turn blocks nearby first.

I just got this rather interesting old clone with OS 9.1 on it. However, my latest system disc is 7.5. I'd have a huge problem if anything went wrong later. According to the system requirements, OS X 10.2 should work, but newer ones won't. It doesn't have a DVD drive or even built-in USB. About the specs:

Brand- UMAX
CPU- 339 MHZ G3 (there appears to be an empty 2nd slot right next to it)
RAM- 160MB, using 4 of it's 8 168-pin slots.
Form Factor- ATX, has an AT power connector though.
HDD- Quantum SCSI (50 pin wide?) with 600-700MB free, I don't know the total capacity.
CD- Generic, not sure of it's brand. I have a CD-RW drive which might work, if the pinout is just like on x86 SCSI cards.
Network- Has either 10 or 100 speed Ethernet
USB- None on board. I just put in a Belkin PCI card, but the drivers aren't installed. It's manual says to get USB Adaptor Card Support on Apple's website.

This thing has a lot of upgrade potential. 2nd CPU, fill up the memory slots, add more SCSI devices... A lot of multimedia applications are installed, whoever used to own it clearly didn't play games. No problem though. It's able to handle Theme Park, Myst, and Doom very fast! I'll find one that'll push the limit eventually. So, where can I find a system CD which is best suited by these above specs? 9.1 runs fine now, I'd like to avoid hassles before they happen though.

I might get one of those Intel Macs if they'll run OS X and Windows in dual booting. I'm still a newbie to the Mac platform.

Um, the blue on blue makes that first post hard to read. There is a demo of my hack, but it's outdated. I'll get the new one up soon.

Ok, I've always thought they're critical in keeping unauthorized intruders out, but my own programs are being blocked too. I'll post the results of Windows Firewall and ZoneAlarm. Yes for programs that did connect, NO for ones that won't.

Windows - IE: Yes, Spybot S&D: Yes, Steam: Yes, Kazaa Lite Tools K++: NO
ZoneAlarm - IE: NO, Spybot S&D: NO, Steam: Yes, Kazaa Lite Tools K++: NO

That's a version of Kazaa I've never used never, I did make KLR and others work in the past. I suspect that a Windows security update in mid-November might be related to these issues, since my OS had to be reinstalled and reconfigured around that time. So, can anyone recommend me a firewall and a GOOD FastTrack client?

Since pretty much all modern SMW hacks feature an updated map, I'd like to try doing a little more than just adding a few unused levels onto a just-for-fun optional area. I don't think LM allows full custom palettes yet, so what might be affected in-game? It's a lot different than level editing... Any simple to understand, and detailed tutorial?

If you know of a space level tileset, I'd like to compare it with my quick hand-made one for seeing which is better.

Wow, I'm sure not that knowledgable for a long time user here. I'll just have to experiment. The least that can go wrong is having to restore my rom from it's backup. Away to the Lunar Magic!

The overworld would hold up my progress. I'm in early stages of learning it. I tend to be a perfectionist in level design so all my time goes there more than anything else. I once in a while make graphics and even more rarely try to rip them, but just don't enjoy that. I've never bothered with ASM, tile animation, etc.

I love these kinds of threads. This includes import games, bonus discs, and demos. Not ones only needed for cheat devices. These are titles I currently own, I've left out the trade-ins (they're in the list I based this post on). Sorry, any other systems (NES, PC, etc) would too much work to round up and count. Haven't been to the storage unit in a few years. My games are US versions, expect as noted.

If you've been around, you'll see I hate configuration of ethernet! First of all is detailing my current setup which obviously allows access to this web site. DSL box>PC>PC2(if connected).
Not much at all. What I'm wanting to do is...
DSL
\/
Router
\/
Port1=PC>PC2 (via 2nd ethernet card and Internet Connection Sharing)
Port2=PS2
Port3,4=empty for future expansion
Wireless (DS, etc.)

I can make this PC connect to the router's configuration screen, but generally only if it's WAN port is unplugged from DSL. I'm assuming there's some NAT which needs to be done to make my ideal design work, other than that I don't know. The router's ethernet and wireless devices must connect to the Internet, not each other, in case that helps you solve this. Geez! I have the 370-odd page manual, but am just clueless. It's even worse as some of my cables are CAT3, others CAT5, and some might be crossover or wrongly assembled. They were free. I should probably write down all the IP and MAC addresses, both local and public. Anyone care to explain how to fulfill the above diagram? I can't really afford hiring a technician, yet if it's needed I'll find some way. Expect updates on new developments as they arise.

Edit: As usual, I'm running XP Pro SP2.

I got Castlevania first (it was half price), then a MK bundle. Haven't played Nintendogs or AWDS. The GBA versions were a bit, let's say overly difficult. No WiFi for me so far. I should be able to connect, but my hardware isn't set up right. One thing I found to be odd is how the MK system was $20 more than their Nintendogs pack.

Is the title logo supposed to be missing? I know it's common for poor ROM dumps. You might like editing the palette and graphics a bit. Varity counts. Keep it up, watch out that there's not too many big death pits.

DAT can be almost anything. Kazaa uses them for incomplete downloads, MegaManX5 PC has it's movies (possibly music too - try Windows Media Player) disguised as such, etc.
I wouldn't delete any unless you know for sure what the file in question does.

I've only picked up the PS2 version, but I will assume it's a better choice. Due to PS2's controller if nothing else. Most of these games were originally designed for it. I'd like to know what's been cut on Gamecube, this disc is about a GB larger than that system allows. I did find something like "packet size too large" written in one file, probably leftover. Except that it was right below the game selection/saving interface text.

Just to avoid a minor new thread, does anyone know the unlocking method for Xbox MMAC's hidden features? I can't seem to find info on any FAQ sites.

The site's just moved (consoleclassix.com), their game server is working also. A client known as Console Classix uses it. I have to say the emulation is pretty good. Except for Duck Hunt, I couldn't find a useable zapper. About those emulators, here's what's in the program directory. ZSNESW 1.36, custom nester, Gens 2.11, Z26 2.13, and an unknown version of gnuboy that wouldn't open. There's even a GPL notice, but I'm not sure what it applies to. Only their NES emulator is set to not allow your own ROMs. The others are standard.

160GB with ~40GB free and a 200GB that has only ~4GB left are in my fastest system. I'm not even sure about everything else. The best of them is 20GB, any others are 8GB or less. I have a lot in storage. There should be an Apple II drive, which is in useable condition but never was set up properly.

Some of these hacks are frozen. Link: http://geocities.com/theclaw135/filelist.html. The Pokemon one is better than it looks. Try Cinnabar Gym first for some challenge. I also have a little known, and pretty much dead SMB1 edit. I'm not sure where its file is. I'll add it someday.

Here's the latest SMW build. This project is still active. Unsplit and extract with WinRAR, than patch a US rom. I would've used my theclaw.filefront.com, but their upload server is under maintaince.

Does anyone know of Game Genie codes for this version, preferably that work on real SNES hardware? It's pointless to buy the non-smw one just for cheat support. If verifed cheats don't respond, then my cart is possibly undumped. I doubt that however.
