i think you should dark the grass pallette a bit, its too bright.

I see no problem with Mario though, in fact i think he looks great in it.

Hrm, something isn't looking right to me. The land looks like the same 8x8 green tiles over and over again. Looks very unnatural.

It may not be perfect, but it definitely has promise.

The problem is, I cant add any higher things than this cause there weren't any GFX for it in the game. I also can't add new GFX to the OW, cause I already used everything I can use.

But last not least, a screen of the cave.

I took off all pipes, exits, etc,..that's why the path doesn't finish.

That doesn't look like a cave. Looks outside to me. I'm not saying it looks bad, because it looks pretty good. It just doesn't look like its in a cave.

Yeah, that one looks for like a nighttime scene or something. It does look nice though.

Your main OW though...it looks fine, but please, change the Ghost House GFX. The one in the bottom right corner kinda sticks out as being more....how do I put this...."SMW-Like" then the OW itself.

One other thing: There is a cliff tile southwest of the only red dot on the main OW that sticks out. The cliff part of it is black, and the tile below it is brown. They kinda don't match

Best I could describe things. Pretty nice though

The water still doesn't look right there... And also, the layer 1 tiles still look pretty poor

@Raccoon: I ripped all OW graphics from it and I didn't saw high mountain GFX.
@Alastor: Make better suggestions for the water and layer 1, cause I think the water fits pretty good with the graphics, though I do agree that some layer 1 tiles look poor on that.

Anyway, here are some other screens and a reworked cave.

Any suggestions and critism are welcome.

The pipes would look nicer if they were a little darker and a little more rugged or worn. Smae goes for the mushroom house and icebergs. As for the cloud sprite, it looks a little too SMWish. As I look into the sky right now, it seems as if the clouds are puffy around the middle and top, and whispy around the edges. With ground looking that realistic, the sky probably should too. We sure are picky, huh?

Also, in the last picture, is Mario swimming? O_o

Besides those things, I think this hack's overworld looks beautiful. Of course, you're gonna need to make levels that look beautiful, too.

@Goldensunboy: I'll try my best on these. I only made a new cloud so far and I can only use 2 colors on it.

Oh, and btw. For those who don't know my hack and think I'm just starting one....this hack has been started in the spring of 2004 and I still am working on it, since I stopped SMW hacking for a long time. If you want some screens of the levels (outdated graphics and maybe OW and levels, too), visit these links.

Edit: here are some better links for screens of my hack, though some are outdated, too.

The thunders use layer 3, though they need to be added again, because I lost some stuff when transfering my hack to another and this to another, etc etc etc...
In short, it fucked up a bajilion of times.
