| Has anyone here ever been in actual love?
If so... what made it so special? Are you together or now seperate? My girlfriend just told me that she loved me for the first time last night... and as much as I thought I was ready..... I was like "awww... thank you..." I felt bad for not saying it back, but she seems to not be worried about the fact that I didn't say it back... she asked me: "Did it freak you out"? I said: "No" ...and I wasn't freaked out, but I was flattered, and I really like her a lot, but I don't know if I could say I love her yet... I was in love with my past girlfriend... and it took me a whole 6 months to recover after our breakup... so your thoughts on it guys???  |

| Love made me happier than i had ever been for about 1.5 years. But damn, the comedown was not worth it, 5+ years later i still feel pain over it sometimes and generally feel disinterested in going through that again. But at the time it sure was alot of fun |

| Not that I don't like my current relationship but I'm kinda committed; I have a 2-year old daughter!!! If things get screwed up, no amount of drinking or smoking would console my mistakes. She calls me "jajad" or "shigadz".
Of course I love my fiance. She was one of my best friends in grade school and somehow became my equal. |

but anyways... love well, I really don't know if love is something that can be for certain ever, I think that after a while you just get to know someone so well and then you "love" them because of that fact.... I mean granted "love" is a good thing, but I don't think love is something that happens within the course of a couple weeks, I may have blurted the "L" word (not lesbian) out a couple time within a couple of weeks of starting a relationship, but was I in love, more then likely not, and Thursday, I'll have been with this one girl for a year, and well... and I'm fairly sure it's safe to say I love her (granted, without her my life would be even more boring then it is already). |

| Hm, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if I've ever been in love. My mind is not one to be trusted when it comes to emotional matters. =/ It doesn't help that I get extremely attached to certain people a little too fast for my own good. Seems unlikely that I have, but...
The way I see it, the happiness, no matter how short-lived, would be worth it. Then again, I'm almost always depressed, angry, or both, so any amount of happiness - real, lasting happiness (even if only a few weeks worth) - would be a welcome change. Whatever comes afterward can't be too much worse than what I'm going through now anyway. =/ |
