I would draw a line between "horror" and "disgusting", and this clearly belongs into category two.

1/2 Smartest
1/3 Best Programmer

Hmm... still... this must be the Mosts I got the most awards in so far. (I don't think I ever got anything before except for some 3rd place in something irrelevant I didn't even notice or memorize) Though not exactly in the categories I consider fitting.

I tried this out on some texts I produced...

TwilightRO's ruleset - 13.36 (just .01 below 13.37 )

My last post in World Affairs/Debate - 15.06

My website's section on foobar2000 plugins - 16.6

I find it particularly interesting how it assumes one needs a university degree in order to understand the latter.

edit- removed random smileys toggling

I am bound to conclude the palette changes you did are mostly minor and unnotable; those that aren't are usually for the worse. Besides, your level design is kind of bland. If you don't add in any graphics of your own, you should make up for it with quite the opposite of blandness on that side.

By the way, there was no reason whatsoever to make the thread-title be all-caps. Edited.

Third from the top left... wtf? That's not how you take screenshots.
Everything related to that forest - make sure to cut down on the eye-burning acidic green. Thanks.

The rest - I don't even see what exactly you supposedly changed about those, other than an additive L2 water layer made in like 4 clicks.

Really, if you want to make a distinct thread to display screenshots of yours, you should at least put a bit more effort into it.

I'll fulfil the "close the thread" part of your request, but can't you just post them on the General Project Screenshot Thread?

- inability to spell "sequel" properly
- the above in all-caps
- posting a useless thread to whine about how you got banned from 4chan that would have at most fit into Lost Threads
- making -two- threads on that topic

I propose an official administrative warning at the very least.

So I was returning from school today, and saw that the house next to the one I live in in the following state:

More pictures in here.

Also, our last three classes today were dropped because of hurricane warning. In the middle of Germany. And that's the first time something like that happens in the whole 10.5 years of school I had here before. Wind speed predictions are around 220km/h. (Highest I've heard of in Europe before was like 160km/h).

Discuss.

It's neither "are" nor "this" really. Linguists refer to it as a "polite copula"; it is just appended to sentences to make them sound more polite/formal while at the same time putting a little emphasis on the contents. (The latter property can be compared with the difference between English "It's a cat." and "It is a cat.") If anything, "is" is the closest you can translate it.
From what I know, the memetic usage of "desu" stems from some Anime where a character appended it to like every single spoken sentence, without exception. (Yes, you for most parts really could do that in spoken Japanese; it would, however, sound odd) Can't tell the details, though, since I didn't watch it.

It's actually the first TV series I have been watching (and doing so on a regular basis) after like 2 years (not counting Firefly on DVD, which was really good as well); yes, they air it in Germany - dubbed - too.
It's awesome.

Give Terranigma a try. It is not quite widely known (I think they didn't release it in the USA out of fear of religious nuts going batshit over it), but still one of my all-time favourite RPGs.

Yeah, there was nothing wrong with SD3's English translation, though I'd need to play the Japanese version to be able to make sophisticated comparisons. (I'll probably get to that when I'm through J-SoM )

Might be I've been mistaking it for some other game (though there've been games that were censored or not released in the USA out of fear of religious groups for less "Christianity-opposing" contents than Terranigma has) then. Fact is it wasn't released in the USA.

I got to second the Super Mario RPG thing. Despite the weird constellation, it was a uniquely great game; look'n'feel, music, overall storyline tempo and everything were just right, thus creating an atmosphere of accomplishedness I only experienced with a few other games, like Cave Story...

As for Terranigma... Bloody Mary... heh. I remember playing that back as an 8 or 9 year old or something on the real SNES; I was around level 15 when I confronted the boss, which was 10 levels below what the game guide (I bought the game off a friend's elder brother for 5DM, ~$3, together with that) listed as the absolute minimum to defeat that boss. I was an easy two-hit kill to the gems circling around her and dealt all 1s in damage, but played the boss battle for a good 2 hours straight and actually defeated her. Hard to imagine for me these days how much of a hardcore gamer I was back then, not spoiled yet by savestating and stuff. xD On the other hand, I remember getting a feeling of uneasiness to dull scaredness in the Louran section. Sue me, I was still essentially a kid.

That'd be my guess too.

Plus, it was Enix. Games from them seemed hard to come by either way.

Terranigma was released in late 1995.

More importantly, they did release it in "double-digit amount of different languages to translate to" Europe.
