Well, this just has to be close to perfect with as much time as I wasted on it. Anyhow, please tell me about any bugs (I've checked it out at a few resolutions and in a few browsers).

your last layout was defenitely easier on the eyes, less conflicting colors (this one makes my eyes hurt, especially with a quote.)

By making the colors closer too each other and contrast less, it would be perfectly fine, though.

This layout was made by JDavis for the Wii club. It's kick ass. However, due to growing popularity, my fanfic is getting big, so I gave it a home and a link in the form of a banner. I put it at the bottom of the layout, and it blends in pretty well.

Racoon Sam: search for the line "<table border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=25 width=339>" in your post header, you'll want to change the "width=339" to something like "width=80%" so the textbox stretches to fit all resolutions, otherwise in high resolutions it just looks like its wasting alot of space.

Okay, here's something that's been bugging me.

Both my and Kyoufu Kawa's layout's have the same bug: if we make a post that contains a tall image, our post spills over into other peoples' posts until the page is refreshed. I can't find any obvious bugs in either my HTML or CSS code that would make this happen. Would anyone be willing to help fix this problem?

I agree with setz and YD in that you should probably utilize more of that empty space, unless you plan on putting an image on the side, or something I'm not aware of. It would look better overall, actually, if you had a post table width of more than 80%, maybe a 90% size or so, to help fill up more of the emptiness on higher resolutions while maintaining about the same size on smaller resolutions.

That makes no sense. There are plenty of reasons why you could've chosen to have so much blank space, it wasn't obvious that it was a problem you wanted fixed. It could've been a placeholder for surrounding border images, it could've been a choice to make your layout stand out visually from other typical "box centered on a background image" layouts, it even could've been something you missed by using a lower resolution. I didn't know, and I wouldn't know, so I asked.
This is a thread for the showing and discussion of layouts, as you have so arrogantly pointed out, so naturally I would bring up a glaring problem with your own layout. In no way were you justified in jumping down my throat about pointing it out, especially since you claimed it worked in your test post, giving zero indication that you needed help. That, combined with the fact that you have done nothing to take setz's advice and rectify this problem, shows to me that you just took my comment too personally and are trying to justify your asshole remark.
I wasn't insulting you because I'm supposedly a "well known respected member," I got angry because you were so uptight over someone not kissing your ass over your layout (or whatever you expected, I have no idea). I also don't care for your shady attempt in getting the last word here. You are not a mod, you don't delegate where the discussion goes.

I'd suggest you both stop barking at each other before someone gets in trouble, actually... We wouldn't want any trouble, especially not in a fairly peaceful forum like Modern Art. Raccoon Sam, you've no right to jump down YD's throat about her criticism of your layout. Be reasonable here. She's right, there is no way she could have known that you didn't know how to fix your problem. It's just the way things panned out.

And YD, as much as I understand your point here, fanning his flames is not going to get anyone anywhere. You should let comments like "well respected member" roll off your back. Everyone's equal around here...
