OK, apparently for the bonus stage when you collect 100 stars, the game randomly chooses between level 0 and another identical stage. Is there a way to remove level 0 from that list? I'd like to make that a "Kins forgot to set this exit! Email him and bitch him out!" level, due to level 0 being the default level for exits. |

A little series of sprite-pics I'm doing, where I take a final battle from a game, dramatise it in image form, and explain it in text. Just a small result of boredom of the "I should be working on ROM World, but I've not the urge to rip SML2 tiles..." variety. Hopefully it won't suck (I've already noticed one graphical mistake. Can you see it?) Anywho... *puts on dramatic voice* The comical side-scrolling action RPG "River City Ransom" (Technos Inc/Atlus, 1989/2004) has the two lead characters, Alex and Ryan, fight through countless gang members in a bid to rescue Ryan's girlfriend from "Slick", a fellow of whom little was known except his alias and that he was behind all the trouble, controlling all the city's Street Gangs. Alex and Ryan, putting aside their rivallry for a time to take care of this larger threat, fought through a variety of tough bosses, from strongman mob-leader Rocko, to the legendary 3-man "Zombies" gang to the deadly Double Dragon Twins, before eventually meeting Slick himself... who actually turned out to be Simon, one of Alex's former friends, hiding behind an alias, now with additional psychic powers, which he aptly demonstrated by throwing stuff at Alex from a safe distance with the power of his mind. After a long, hard, and not entirely even battle, Simon suffered the humiliation that comes with both losing horribly to your worst enemy, and being told by said enemy that your alias is crap. |

According to a .plan update by one of the big id guys, the demo will most likely be released after the game hits stores, as id focused on finishing the full game first. Also, the technological grunt needed for full-quality graphics isn't really commerically available yet. |
