I don't think the constant animation is annoying, but it might slow down some people with shitty computers (such as myself).

I made the water animation over a grueling two hours, and my brother drew the boat.

Yeah, I was using Old Zem to work on it.

Actually, unlike most of my layouts, it was inspired by something: I had a weird dream (like most of my dreams, completely nonsensical), and at one point I was posting on some message board with a highly animated layout with rain pouring down and waves and stuff. This was a long time ago, but yesterday I decided to make the water thing. I couldn't get good-looking rain, but the water looked like it needed a boat bobbing around helplessly in it. So I enlisted my brother to draw one for me in Flash. =D

I'm not using it as my layout now because I'm still worried about slowdown: right now it's not slowing down for me either, but it was having problems when I was previewing it with lots of text. So, I don't know.

Oh, and the blockquotes were mostly because I wanted to experiment with different CSS shits to figure out how to do the kind of thing Jesper's blockquotes do, with the original poster highlighted and stuff. I don't think mine works the same way his does (I didn't check the source), but it was neat to experiment.

Wikipedia can get more benefit than just hosting from this: if it's made more prominent through the Google affiliation (if Google sends more people there, for example) it only helps out, due to how Wikipedia functions...

Won't that CSS affect all <pre> tags? I think the class specification will only apply to the code selector. If I'm not horribly mistaken, it should be
div.parasyte code, div.parasyte pre

Zomg, you are the win. I'd read about this, and seen detailed instructions on doing it, but I never tried to attempt it. I'd like to do this on a real GBA, but I still can't beat that fucking spider on 1%.
