That is a sweet tattoo.

Here's how to make a link.
Type this:
<a href="
Now type the URL of the site, in this case:
http://ds.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=1515
Now type:
">Here is link text</a>

Put it all together and you get this:
<a href="http://ds.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=1515">Here is link text</a>

Which renders as:
Here is link text

Yeah... it could easily add in some obvious text above the reply box: "This is an old thread. Reply only if you have something significant to add to the discussion. If not, allow it to rest in peace."

Of course, it hasn't yet been decided whether thread-bumping is bad or not, but that's a good middling solution. (I am of the opinion that thread bumping is just fine, as irrelevant threads will just fall again... unless people keep responding "yarr it's a bump". The only exception is someone bumping a massive amount of old threads, as they can drown out the newer ones in large quantities.)

And if I'm not mistaken, Visual C++ has a lot of its own proprietary stuff, which has definitely changed between versions. If they've only added features since then, the old code will still work, but more than likely they've removed or renamed several things too.

Probably not a good idea, as it will cause people who ignore the warnings to create extraneous threads saying "yeah" and such. The only time bumping is really a problem is when a user says something useless like that, and the same kind of people are more likely to be oblivious to warning text. It would happen, too.

When you click "Save and send" there's another button somewhere that will just give you the link without having to email anything. Don't remember what it was but I'm sure the resourceful among you can find it.

Rand? Wow. I thought you were gone forever. Hmm. Rand. Andrew... Rand. Crazy town.

I would not have made the connection if Anya hadn't said it.

It's a good thing we got another Kirby user. I was just saying the other day we didn't have enough.

As things stand now, you can't have your purple box be semi-transparent if it's not part of the background image, which means you couldn't have it be resized. You could have a solid purple box, or a dithered purple box, but no translucency. As for the background, yes, it is possible to make all of your posts that height... some people don't like unnecessarily large posts, though.

Jesper said something about this. It sounds like he's planning on doing this in that manner (threads are no longer 'new' when you read them). Also, something about going to the first new post.

Just checked; my PS2 plays burned DVD videos just fine. I doubt, however, that it's set up to read any kind of video file from a regular CD, other than those from PS1 games where they're told to play by the game code.
