Lol! Thanks for the update. Glad my PM wasn't un-noticed. I laughed when I saw the new giant enemies. Very nice.

Are they killable by a slide? Like, on a slope and you press down?

Posted on 03-16-05 02:52 PM, in Why doesn't this one site load up for me? Link
http://stifu.free.fr/Board/index.php is a site I visit pretty often. But lately, it hasn't been loading up. I've tried it in both IE and Mozilla, and all I get is "waiting for stifu.free.fr..."
It stays on that forever. I've waited over an hour (was watching tv)

I asked a friend on MSN to check it out and he said it loaded straight away. Every other site loads up fine besides this one.

Last night it took me a few tries to get it to load, but now I'm not having any luck at all.

Thanking in advance.

WOOO!!! Got drunk yesterday! It's 6:20am Friday 18th here now. Only drank burbon, but it's how trashed you get that counts.

Havn't been to sleep yet. When I was drifting off to sleep, I rolled over and my arm kinda pressed against the wall with the blanket covering my arm, and I felt like a popping sound against the wall... I thought I just squished a spider!!!
Couldn't sleep after that... I hate spiders.

Didn't wear anything green or anything. But the spider's gutts were probably green... And I have yellow-ish boogers that stereotypically are green

I'm bored of everything. I need something to re-spark my love for game playing. Anything RPG is good, but not any Final Fantasies, I'm over them for good. Secret of Mana/Evermore would be good. A Shadowrun (SNES) hack would just be heavenly! I'm over Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. Bubble Bobble (Sega Master System) would be cool, too.

How hard would it be to make a hack of Shadowrun by the way?

Thanks muchly!

Sorry about the typo in the thread title.

Well, I have tried downloading Demo World before from the collection thread in the Super Mario World Hacking forum, but the link was dead. Anyone have a fresh one?

The best SMW hack in my opinion (which I've played) has been BMF's Super Mario World Odessey... Man that was awesome!

Okay! Downloaded.

When BMF closed his thread on SMW: Odessey (due to constant spamming), he said that he hadn't made any progress on it since he released the demo, and that he might never finish it. *Cries*

**EDIT**
Okay, I appear to be stuck in Star Road.
I'm pretty sure I've found every exit up to where I'm at, and I entered Star Road through the Crystal Caves.

I had abit of trouble in Water Star World, but only just got it. (Thank god for save states!)
And I've found both exists in all the other Star Road levels, but I can't find the 2nd exits in Misty Star World, and Secret Star World.

That Secret Star World is such a pain in the ass! I kinda figured that I needed an enemy in my secondary item slot, but I can't get back out to the world map to go to one of the first 2 Secret Mushroom stages. Is there an enemy in the Secret Star World that I don't know about? I couldn't even find the keyhole in that stage!

And in the Misty Star World stage, I can't find either the key or the keyhole.
I'm stuck!!

Is there a walkthrough somewhere? Or even better; could someone help me out on just these 2 stages?

Promotions really offend me... Often, they're extremely meaningless erections.
(Can't they find a better subject other than sex to put in TV commercials? ...Like the actual product for one? )

w00t! I got the last one!!
I actually bought that game. Although, about 3 weeks later, my brother sold it on me... Bastard.

This one we're on now, I've actually played. I had the ROM... Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore. I just went through every unbfamiliar ROM I have and couldn't find it. *Cries*
I seriously thought I would've found it and made it a 2-in-a-row! Bummer!

I've been pretty lucky in this department. I think I've had maybe 15 pimples in my whole life so far! (I'm 19 now BTW)
It hurts like hell when other people want to pop 'em for you though. Goodamnit! I just wanna pop the people poppin' the pimples on me!!

Some people have said that if you don't get any while you're young, it's a sign that you'll have them at an older age!

Posted on 03-23-05 09:33 PM, in Dead friend; how to react... Link
This is going to sound pretty selfish, but I have alot of experience in this subject... Not exactly with friends, but family.

I grew up without a mother. She left my dad when I was 1 year old. I don't miss her, because I've never known her or had to rely on her. on July 31st, my dad will have been dead for 3 years. He died from cancer, spreading everywhere, paralyzing him in his last weeks. When we got a phone-call from a nurse telling us that he hasn't long to live at all, and was in a coma, we drove to the hosptal, only to be 5 minutes late.

I was directed to the quiet room, where I cried. I felt like I had no-one to rely on... So many responsabilities. I also cried at the funeral, and when we spreaded his ashes. Life had been harder since then, but I've still got some people. I live with my aunty at the moment, who's serverely physically dissabled, and my cousin, who's mentally and physically dissabled. I have lived with my brother a couple of times, but he tends to sell everything I own for his "pot money"

The way I think of it... Is that about half of ourselves feels sorry for the person who died, while our other side is scared of responsability... What changes it'll make in our lives. In a way, it's kind of feeling sorry for ourselves. Just think "What if that was me? How would people react?" And you tend to think of people crying over you, which in turn makes you cry just thinking about it..

In a little while, you'll learn to addapt, and although if you think about them, and the pain they went through, it sure as hell makes you sad to the point of crying, but seeing the chair that the person sat in, won't really make you sad, because you addapt... You get used to not expecting them to jump out and say "hello."

It may seem harsh, but it's only my opinion.

I give you my condoninces, and hope you can get on happily with your life.

I give up too... Although I used to have this ROM, I can't think of the name. I know that there is a laser wave type weapon which comes out as a curve sort of thing, but I dunno.

I suggest we skip this one.

What a great post, Grey.
It's true. Nintendo's mascots always appeal to gamers by saying "Hey! This is a top quality game!" And almost every time, it has been a top quality game. Sony tried the mascot business back in the early days of the PSX with Crash Bandicoot, but they were extremely childish games. More-so than the Mario games. I quite enjoy Mario games personally, although I didn't like Mario Sunshine one bit.

I think that Sony will release a re-worked PSP kind of like Nintendo did with the GBA to the GBA-SP. With better battery life-span and all the works... But in my opinion, it'll just be a matter of time before the so called "older gamers" get sick of the repeatativness of the countless racing, sport and first-person-shooter games from the X-Box.

I think it's great that Nintendo are releasing alot more RPGs, because I know alot of people who soley purchased a PSX for just that reason.

Ooo-kay then?

Scatterheart: No they won't get sick of these games. You know why? Because you are a moron and probably don't know what is on the X-Box.

I do know what is on the X-Box, and I'm quite frankly sick of people saying that this is the best ever first person shooter, or racing game ever. All I was saying is that there are only so many FPS games you can play before you get bored of 'em all. If people grew up playing Doom on the PC, and moved on to Golden Eye and Perfect Dark on the N64, then you get tired of seeing all these new FPSs that claim they have something the others don't.

Yet with the people that're new to the gaming era, or the "older gamers", they play one FPS on the X-Box and think it's the best thing ever! You let them play Golden Eye or something like that, and they'll absolutly hate it because the graphics aren't cool

It's the same in the racing games department. Gran Turismo wasn't the first racing game where you could build up your car. Sure it was a great game... But after the first two Gran Turismo's, it kinda seems the same, and only the die-hard fans keep it carrying along.

It's the same with Nintendo and it's mascots. People play Metroid games because of how great they were in the past. I'm just glad at how huge the step between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime was.

People buy Final Fantasy games because they've played the others and will think they'll be great. I didn't think the world of FF-X, and even worse towards FF-X2. It seems that it's all been done before.

Then again... Maybe it's just me growing out of games and almost everyone else has a different opinion.

You didn't like Metroid Prime?
I thought it was quite good. It's an adventure game in the FPS concept. It's like playing an old Metroid game in a FPS. But I agree with you post.
