It may be a newbie-ish question, ALSO note it may sound like it is a request, BUT IT IS NOT!, alright, now: i need some asm\hex for making a SMW turnblock in SMB3, (NOT dahrkdaiz's one! the real thing, except that one does break when the fireball hits it And it spins [diffrent tile] When you bonk it at the top of your head) I do know asm, but not much. I needed a routine for SMB3 to make my game more special. i am still working on SMB3 enhanced! i have the cape patch, and i am greatful for Beijor for the patch! |

First of all, it is compressed in the rom, if you are talking about making custom tiles from the rom itself, it is impossible, but if you use lunar magic, then: 1. Go to File, 2. Go to Options, (or something) Then Click on jointed GFX in (or on) file *Optional* 3. Push extract GFX from rom (or the RED mushroom), 4. Go use TLP or YY-CHR, then open ALLGFX.BIN. (or GFX??.bin) 5. In both Character editors, push SNES 4bpp 6 Edit it, If you wanna insert GFX, then: 1. Go to File, 3. Push insert GFX to rom (or the green mushroom), 6 Done, PS: i am tired of lecturing n00bs, I am sleepy! *YAWNS* |

UPDATE: Alright, i got the NSF implented successfuly, now I need Ufouria info on how to set it up! NOTE: I use NES2NSF, as it does the NSFs right, UNLIKE the original rips, In WHICH they are EDITED an DELETED. It might suit it's NSF match! but the NES2NSF program ONLY works with ALL of Sunsoft's games! Problem: Note: These addresses I searched in ONLY work with FCEUXD original and SP versions (or a simular debugger with a hex editor [asm?])! Ufouria's NSF song startup address: 8000-800F Journey to Silius's NSF song startup address: e000-e00f Use these to find\trace the address in the rom where the address of the ufouria song load routine is, Sorry if i am bumping, i just need more data! |

(1)I just realized that i needed Smb3 sprite TSA to Complete my Hack! And I need YOUR help! (2) While in ASM news, I could not trace the SMB3 brick asm from Rom addresses! I tried my best! So I need Help on that, Too! Reasons: 1: I need to edit the sprite's tsa because I need to Import some good graphics from SMW and overwrite TSA. Example: Goomba, Remember Mario Chronicles 1? (the SMB3 hack by Ringodoggie) There is EDITED TSA there!! 2: I am still thinking about a SMB3 Turnblock! Any ROM\RAM addresses will be credited and WILL be AWARDED! (Award: Being The 1ST Alpha\Betatester of this hack!) Good luck finding it! and remember: (Is it Smallhacker who did this quote?) I AM NOT USING GODDAMN NESTICLE!! AND IF YOU USE IT! I WILL HURT YOU! I still could not find the ROM locations for the brick code! The truth is, that ASM knowlage of mine, ONLY covers PC ASM! Not NES ASM. But I know 2 things: JSR: Jump to subroutine RTS: Return To subroutine I Traced it but is hard to read correctly. But can Someone help? OR to find\retrace the hex\code in the ROM with Code Comments?? I tried SERVERELY to find it! But it wont do anything! but CRASH!! I still copied my hack!! EDIT: I also need this: http://dahrkdaiz.panicus.org/cgi-bin/SMB3DX.pl?page=0 In Two of These Pictures, Do you see that Enemy? I want to trace that too, You know what happens, Either give me a private message with BOTH the Brick and the SMW Coin code In It! Good news for rom hackers, If It IS Good: I found out that Someone made a Disassembly Of SMB And put comments in it! You know what that means! SOMEONE FINALLY RELEASED FULL SOURCE CODE OF SUPER MARIO 1! Download URL: http://www.freewebs.com/hamtaro126/SMB/SMB1_source_w_music_thingy.zip Note: The source code is in 6502\2A03 NES ASM, The look like they are for the X816 Assembler BUT they could not Compile\Assemble in that Assembler!
