i need to get this game--i saw the graphics and fell in love with it. then i read more about the story and I like it too. anyways, based on your two comments it sounds good. However, i probably won't get it until it drops in price a little more

yup, the summer has gone by too fast, but then again the same can be said about any time of year

anyways, this past summer was special--i tutored in a university class and met some excellent people. this experience helped me reaffirm that I enjoy teaching and may actually go into teaching instead of being a programmer

what did you guys do this summer?

My Sweet Darlin' by Hitomi Yaida

Nice song...the pitch of her voice might annoy you though. however, the music sounds good, the beat anyways. the music video is also cool too. However, this isn't her best one either. I don't remember the track of the top of my head but i know i heard better one by her.

i do not think they'll bring the NES here because of the archaicness of them but Square revived FF1 and FF2, so who knows.

Anyways, if I knew more japanese, then they would have been translated by now...

I've heard ill effects from removing IE from the system so I dunno. Let's just hope none of them pop up for you. So yeah, if your system starts behaving weirdly, don't complain to us.

But anyways, good job at finding a way to remove IE.

you have taken look at Volume Control? (sndvol32.exe)?
CD Audio is seperate from Wave Volume for many sound cards--or older sound cards anyways.

i haven't downloaded it yet, probably because a large majority of stuff doesn't work for it right now.

have you tried to take the decimal number and manually convert it to hex yourself?

like if the number is 255, divide first by 16 and you should get 15, which is F and then you take the remainder of what's left (which is 15) and divide by 16 again to get another f.

So, i guess in VB that would be something similar to the following:

Dim n as Integer
Dim upper as String
Dim lower as String
Dim readByte as String

n = readValue()
upper = n / 16
lower = upper mod 16

select case upper
case 10: upper = "a"
case 11: upper = "b"
case 12: upper = "c"
case 13: upper = "d"
case 14: upper = "e"
case 15: upper = "f"
end select

select case lower
case 10: lower = "a"
case 11: lower = "b"
case 12: lower = "c"
case 13: lower = "d"
case 14: lower = "e"
case 15: lower = "f"
end select

readByte = upper & lower

so, you can make the above code into a function that returns a hex string when given a integer number assuming it is between 0 and 255

They mess with WiFi? then I'm now even more reluctant to upgrade to SP2 since I depend on WiFi a lot when I'm at school. Hmm...maybe I'll just put SP2 on my desktop and leave my laptop alone.

Well, if he is reading from a file, then he will never run into a negative value except for end of file, which is typically -1.

As for negatives, it doesn't have trouble with it. It is more of people have trouble with it. Because if they put in -1 and get out 0xFFFF FFFF, that is expected because -1 in computer binary is 0xFFFF FFFF.
