| i suggest you slowly reinstall your stuff...only install it when you need it instead of just simply restoring the entire system because something is obviously wrong when something gets installed. Virgin WinXP OS installations almost never crash. Therefore, that is something I suggest you try doing. Also, are you installing SP2? maybe you can only install SP1 and that might help. Also, i'm guessing that you install WinXP without formatting? if so, then maybe this is a good time to do a format because having a clean drive helps as well after a fresh installation. |

| What exactly do you mean by trying it? You can see if you can find specs for the drive and that should tell you if it can read RW or not. Also, there are programs that will give specs of a drive as well if you can't find the white papers online. One that comes to mind is DVDInfo (warning, lots of ads ) |

| faster RAM can run in a system that supports slower RAM but not vice versa. As for overclocking, that only makes sense for trying to get slower RAM to work faster, isn't? | |||
