I tried a Tomb Raider game a long while ago, didn't like the control scheme, never picked up on the games. That doesn't mean I think they're bad, just don't like the control scheme. Like Resident Evil.

Unfortunately, Carl will lose again.

Let's say the first race took 100 seconds. Using r = d/t, we see that:

Ben's rate is 1 m/s (100m/100s), and Carl's rate is .9 m/s (90m/100s).

So if Ben runs 110m at 1 m/s, he will finish in 110s. And it will take Carl 111.11s to finish his 100m (100m/.9m/s).
